This is an old green glass owl that I have had for many, many years. Its actually one of a pair. They sit on my window ledge in my dining room day after day and the light always reflects so nicely through them.
The color green has always been one of my favorite colors, especially emerald green!
Enjoy and thank you for your views!
Here’s a lovely old toby jug I spotted on a shop window ledge in Camden Passage, Islington, north London.
Toby jugs first appeared in the 18th century and were made by the Staffordshire Potteries in England. The name possibly derives from Toby Philpot, the nickname of Harry Elwes, an infamous 18th century alcoholic – but another theory is that it was named after Sir Toby Belch, the character in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. So in truth, nobody really knows.
As can be seen here, the jug depicts a seated man wearing a tricorn and traditional 18th century attire, holding a flagon of beer and a pipe.
I do hope it's stuck down with something.
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :O)

i just realized some of my favorite videos ever are with people jumping. and they all have references to Kafka. hmmm
My neighbours cat Slippers, that loves to sit on my front window ledge, mainly because it's about as close as he can get to the bird feeders hanging in the rose bush (Which is not close enough!)
The silhouette of a crow... cast bold on the curtain at my window.
Cats like to sit on high, narrow window ledges especially if it will make their owner nervous. It's a fact. So why can't I just accept it and let our cat get on with its carefree life?
As I hung out of an upstairs window with a treat for her in hand, the cat of course jumped in behind me and left me staring stupidly at a neighbour. "Hello" was my timid reaction. They just smiled a knowing smile. But what did they know? That cats do this to their owners or that I do silly things like hang out of upstairs windows with a palm full of cat food?
Neighbour gone and pride almost recovered, I looked down and noticed that the window ledge was coated with a layer of lichen and moss.
The autumnal touch is deceiving as it's a typical summers day. And for those of you who haven't experienced English summers, that means it is wet and grey with a quite a chill in the air...

This caught my fancy, Ottavia has placed these dishes on a window ledge and my eyes are always drawn to them. It is a rainy, overcast day in Toronto, the first of many to come and we welcome the much needed rain. I experimented in Picnik with making this photo black and white with a focal colour, obviously those pretty pink ones were highlighted.
Thanks for your visits and stay blessed:)
I bought Ziggy some new friends. I think I may have gotten a bit too ambitious. I hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew.

I get a chuckle looking at this shot......Rex appears to have his little arms leaning on Jaren's window ledge watching the world outside. We quite often bring him out for a look outside (he seems to like this) and this time Jaren had some dinosaurs sitting on the ledge. I took this pic so quickly that I didn't get it centered perfectly, but just had to share it due to the cuteness factor!!
Spotted this on the way to work recently, carved pumpkin for Halloween, but sporting a virus mask - safety first!!! Made me smile.
San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood has traditionally been occupied by low income residents. There are many Single Room Occupancy (SRO) units, studio apartments and smaller, one bedroom apartments. There are a lot of drugs and petty crimes (prostitution). Only recently (starting around 2013 or 2014), because rents are becoming so high in most other neighborhoods, have more middle income people been moving in. However, the preponderance of residents in the Tenderloin is still mostly low income people.
A friend who lived in the Tenderloin once told me you could tell which street you were on by the drugs the hookers were taking.
Sometimes a photograph will just shout out at you ... this was one. I liked the composition immediately I saw it :)
Helena has taken to climbing up on this window sill. I can't keep her off of it and unfortunately she keeps removing all her clothes and then climbing up here!
I put the treats on the windowledge, just to keep her attention for more than a millisecond, the instant after I clicked she was up and eating them.
I would have loved to get her from a better angle, but sadly the garden hedge got in the way.
My favourite character from "The Magic Roundabout."
Peppers, organically grown in Ottavia's garden, left to dry on her kitchen window.
Thanks for your visit and stay happy and blessed.

Tiny and cheering while brushing teeth or contemplating the sky through the bathroom window.
I'm trying to see how small i can go with the "macro" effect of the Duaflex. The coin is a NZ 10 cent piece, so it's getting pretty small...
There is some work being done somewhere near us. I went out into the garden and this caught my eye. One place it get it out of the way of the traffic.
Thank you for your favourites. :O)
ODC, Windows and Doors
7DOS, Modern, Go For Bokeh Tuesday
Bokeh viewed through Modern tilt-and-turn windows partially covered with lots of little windows on stick-and-peel privacy sheets (because the neighbours' access path goes right past the kitchen window - that's modern life in Europe for you).
Tomorrow I start a self-imposed 31 Day Photo Challenge, together with a fellow Flickrite, which will require me to meet a photo-challenge-a-day, the results of which I'll be posting on my Facebook page at www.facebook.com/LyndaHPhotography as well as here on Flickr. My Facebook page is open so please feel free to visit and view it and if you're on FB comment/Like/Share if you like what you see.
I'm hoping that my 31DPC will coincide with the various daily ODC, 7DOS and Flickr Lounge challenges I endeavour to meet otherwise I'm going to have trigger finger, if there's such a thing - or I may have to miss a few Flickr challenges in May. So, to May Madness and beyond :-)!
Happy Sliders Sunday everyone, I hope your all enjoying the weekend !
This rose was rescued from the OH's garden by his youngest Finn for me to photograph, they were busy cutting it all back and much to my disgust the Rose tree is now no more !! I thought this would work with a bit of colour selection for Sliders Sunday and here we have it !
Thanks for stopping to view, comment and if you like fave, all are very much appreciated :o)
