A joy at the holidays is seeing the many creative window display vignettes. This display is in Vienna.
Saks Fifth Avenue Holiday windows theme of "Winter Palace" and Winter Wonders around the world. Here a Roman Gladiator floats among the tall buildings of New York that are reflections in the glass. Not seen in the image is the ice coliseum below her.
Shop in Parliament Square called Azir. The reflection is of Parliament Square in Hertford and also a silly old snapper.
I worked on the manikins individually in terms of their lighting... They were just too dark without adjusting the lighting. There was too much detail being lost. Ansel Adams used to say that he could visualize the final product when he took the image... I wish I could do this more often. For me it has normally been the exception rather than the rule.
Yesterday afternoon I had to go down to my local store and as i walk passed this shop. I noticed the shop was showing there new Easter products.
‘Sex and the City’ locations in NYC
‘Sex and the City’ の撮影場所の辺りなので見られるのを意識してか, ここら辺はどこも小ぎれいにしている感じです。 ここの店はほんの30秒ほどしか出て無いのに、ここに来たがる方が多いです。 カップケーキは激甘です。

Seen in a window display in NYC
Thought I'd share with you the front window of The Lonestar Restauant here in Ottawa, Canada! It was quite interesting to see.
As a sometimes costume designer, I can never resist a dress form. Even when they're miniature. These were about 12 inches high.
I wish I could have gotten this image without the sliver of the window, but this was the only angle without distracting reflections. Shot through the window of course.
Sometimes.. I like to feel new to the familiar place I know, see things as I had never seen them before.
I walked along old street and old shops of Khao San road, Bangkok like other foreigner.
Then I feel so good to see more beauty hidden from my old eyes. I never notice how beautiful andf artistic display of different goods along Khao San area.
For this window display, I stopped by wih this beauty wondow display but more than that, I feel the little happiness was growing along the minutes I was standing there.
How could non living and commercial thing could bring out the beautiful feeling

George Moore Menswear, 99 Myddleton Road, Bowes Park, North London.
First opened in 1942 & closed sometime between 1999 & 2001, yet the Stock in the Window remained and had been there, sun damaged & mouldy for around 15 years.
As well as cloths there was a Max Bygraves double cassette & some gloves with an image of what looked like the actress Susan Hampshire on the packet.
This Ghostshop and its window were much loved by locals and there was talk of an image of the widow display would be painted onto the shutters of the new outlet.
No.99 is now in the hands of and has been restored by former Killing Joke member Nick Holywell-Walker.
When the George Moore sign was cleaned up it revealed the name Richards underneath, the shop owners name pre 1942. Not sure if Walt Green & Co are the new retailers or this is an old sign.
Sad to see Moores go but good that the shop is going to live again.
