This charming miniature windmill was a fully operational working mill despite looking like a fanciful garden folly. Built 1842. Bloxham church on the left.
Please if you are going to photograph Woodchurch Windmill. from this location and point of view you will need to request permission from the land owner of the field i was standing in. Permission can be requested from the owner at the house named Mill Land.
As you walk around the Windmills public footpath, there is a style in the fence into the private property. This is for the landowners own use and is not for public access. Please do not cross this without permission.
I had heard of this windmill through Wikipedia but there was no picture or history so I did not know what to expect. The weather was not very kind on this day, as in the morning the sky was very lack lustre grey and in the afternoon when we went back all the greyness had vanished to be replaced by a bright blue sky. I opted to drain the colours and give the picture a sense of time. Although the picture was taken in Copenhagen, the church in the background is a Swedish Orthodox Church.

This is the windmill in Portsmouth, RI at the Portsmouth Abbey School. I pass it everyday on my way to and from work - it's so cool. I want one.
