Is the color too much? I wanted a sort of golden hue (more photoshop joy). She was so fun to watch playing -- like a breath of fresh air.
When we purchased a Wind Chime from Kodai, we noticed that the top holder is just a wooden piece in the shape of a flying bird (closest shot would be a sunbird.
Had some time during the weekend and a few acrylic paint bottles, which transformed this wooden plank (leftmost snap) that was shaped as a bird into a colorful bird (rightmost one)! The middle was the one that was shot while artwork was in progress!
I installed Jolicloud on my MSI Wind netbook.
It is just perfect for everyday computing on a netbook.
Wind turbines at Mablethorpe. This photo does not show the scale of how big these are and when you look up they make you go dizzy :O)
Melancthon Grey Wind Project. Just north of Shelburne, Ontario. View this photo big to get a sense of the scale. That little dot at the foot of the white tower is a man. Mappage.
Back in 2004 I had the chance to wander around the old Farnborough aircraft research establishment. Much of it had been demolished to make way for a housing project but several of the wind tunnels remained. This photo was taken from the 'stage' on which large-scale models of aircraft could be tested at subsonic speeds. The propeller was beautifully made of hardwood and I could just make it move by using all my (considerable) weight on the blade to the left of where I'm standing. In use, the prop would have been whizzing around at a dizzying rate. It would have been a touch breezy where I was standing - and, of course, I would rapidly have been reduced to a red smear on the walls!
One of five new wind turbines just installed at Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire. Unfortunately, someone parked a pretty ropy looking old bike in the way!
I missed the instalation of the last blade (?) by a couple of hours! If you look closely you can see a winch cable hanging from a trapdoor at the back of the turbine housing. Aparently this was being used to lower tools down to the ground by the engineers who were still up there!
Paris.Gust of wind blows bag across street.I tried manual mode but the shot was very underexposed and ISO 1600 produced a lot of noise.I did the best I could on CS3 to produce this.
Strong winds today in Viareggio, surfers were very happy.

Vento forte oggi a Viareggio, i surfisti erano molto contenti :-)
While originally used to represent the coroporate giant GE, I like this photo for the astheticly pleasing aspects.

I decided to go down to Wreck Beach during the recent storm. It was amazingly cool, with the wind not just gusting to 90 kmh but blowing steadily at that speed. The noise through the trees was intense and the waves had pushed right up to the tree-line.
Made for a very dramatic sunset and I went home full of energy and sandblasted from all the salt and spray!
Met de wind in heur haar. Aafke vaart de boot. Geen idee waarom ze een wielerbril op heeft. Lag waarschijnlijk in de auto toen ze bedacht dat de zonnebril thuis lag.
