Waiting for the ferry across Lake Nicaragua, I was nervous to see the wind blowing so hard. A storm blew through really fast, and left some strong waves in its wake.
It made for an interesting boat ride to say the least.
Kalevipoeg, the mythological hero of the national epic of Estonia, a giant of unrivalled strength, bought his sword from a famous Finnish blacksmith. In the course of the party, arranged to wet the bargain, a fighting broke out and Kalevipoeg killed the blacksmith´s son. The blacksmith cursed the sword.
The sword was stolen from Kalevipoeg by a warlock, who dropped it into the Kääpa River. One day after a big fighting Kalevipoeg stepped into the Kääpa River and his own sword, due to the curse, cut off his legs. Kalevipoeg died.
In olden days people wanted to pull the sword out of the river. Six and even eight pairs of oxen were pulling with all their might but sorcery kept the sword on the bottom of the river. Sometimes it showed itself on the surface as if fooling the people. Then it fell back into the water again.

It is such a nice day (nearly 70 degrees here) so I thought I'd take a little bike ride and capture some pics of my hometown.
I'm surprised this hasn't been fixed yet, I mean its been like this for at least a month now. Oh well, at least I got to take a picture of it. :D
The Wind Surf is a cruise ship; a sleek, five-masted sailing yacht accommodating 310 guests. Her seven decks have a total of 22,090 square feet. She has a gross tonnage of 14,745 and is registered in the Bahamas. There are 7 triangular, self-furling, computer-operated sails with 26,881 square feet (or 2,600 square meters) of Dacron surface area and 5 masts each at 164 feet (50 meters) high. She is additionally powered by 4 diesel electric generating sets providing power to 2 electrical propulsion motors. Her speed is 10 to 12 knots with engines only and up to 15 knots wind and engine assisted. She is owned and operated by Windstar Cruises.
