The wind in black and white

A window remembering the spring

372 photos merged into one image using the lighten layer-blending mode in photoshop. The process was automated using the script from advancedstackerplus.com I took out some vehicles that drove down the road and added the blades of the windmills back in because they look funny without them.

“...come take me out of this dull world,

For I would ride with you upon the wind,

Run on the top of the dishevelled tide,

And dance upon the mountains like a flame.”

― W.B. Yeats, The Land of Heart's Desire

Wind turbines on the Oklahoma prairie - actually sitting near the Arbuckle Mountains (which are basically small hills) off of I-35 about an hour drive north of the Texas border.

Barmouth beach on a windy, chilly day in September.

I shot this picture 5mins before comes to us. Wind was so heavy. Almost blow away our camp.

In my immediate area, there are wind turbines that are due to be dismantled soon because they are too old. In their place, new ones must be manufactured, transported, and installed. But who is considering the carbon footprint, given that the dismantled turbines are on the ground and not recycled?

150 Million years ago, in the Upper Mid-Jurassic period, the area that deals with this Natural Monument of Petrified Forests showed a stable climate of high humidity. They were developed in this region dense forests with gigantic trees, among which it is worth stressing older relatives of the puzzle trees or. At the beginning of the Cretaceous period, volcanic eruptions, which coincided with the beginning of the uprising of the Cordillera, buried vast expanses of the Patagonian territory, with ash and lava. Part of the forest covered by ashes were subjected to processes of petrification. The emergence of the Cordillera of the Andes produced drastic transformations in the environment, changing the climate in all of Patagonia. Since then, the moisture carried by the winds from the Pacific is condensed through the heights and originates rains that allow the development of the Andean Patagonian forests today. Strong winds continue their journey toward the further This draining the steppe. Subsequently, the erosion of a territory that was becoming more arid, rain and wind, uncovered the large sectors of these forests that were petrified into with the elapse of millions of years, leaving even some copies on foot.

What else to do on a day home from work due to Wind Chill Warnings than to try and photograph hot water thrown to the wind.

Wind Wolves is an ecologically unique region where the Transverse Ranges, Coast Ranges, Sierra Nevada, western Mojave Desert and San Joaquin Valley converge. Due to elevation ranging from 640 to 6,005 feet, the preserve has an impressive array of landforms and habitats that serve as a critical landscape linkage and wildlife corridor between the Coast Ranges and Sierra Nevada.

If you reveal your secrets to the wind, you should not blame the wind for revealing them to the trees.

Took Yami outside to the seriously strong winds. That was... interesting to say the least.
