Driven out of too many towns to keep counting, Strawberry Alice has settled in Whiteoak Springs and runs the local whorehouse with an iron fist. Feisty and sassy, Alice is deeply unpopular with the townswomen but she has a hard head for business and keeps her girls turning over cash.

Widow to Whiteoak Springs’ most brutal outlaw, Lili racketeers from the local saloon. She’s respected but feared, due to his reputation. People know not to bring trouble to the Saloon, because the Saloon will bring trouble to them. She entertains her regulars with a nightly routine of songs.

Part of the famous Pryor Mountain wild mustang herd dwells in the Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area rather than high up in the mountains. This stallion is very healthy looking, in spite of what seems like low nutritional value forage available to him.
This small band (subgroup of a herd, usually with one dominant stallion and numbers of mares, colts, and younger stallions) is often found in the Horseshoe Bend area in the Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area, perhaps because of its easy, year-round access to fresh water.
Wildes Moor is one of my favourite places to take pictures, it changes throughout the seasons and in the winter there is a real sense that the entire place is hibernating.
It had been raining a lot over the week and the river had burst its banks and the ground was absolutely saturated which lead to some really nice rich saturated colours.

Wild Columbine is in full bloom in my native garden. It's a mid-late Spring bloomer that attracts hummingbirds. It does well in woodlands or sunny prairies.
If you're adding a native garden or looking for plants to add to your garden, I would highly recommend this one.

I shot this in the Wichita Mountains at the Christmas Bird Count. There are a lot of wild turkey in the area, really there are lot over the whole state.
We were having a hard time finding them on this very cold day, but we finally found this group moving and feeding across this field.
They live by a small pond, in a park, here in Warsaw.
I visit them sometimes, and see them every time.
Not too far from the Monmouth Covent Garden. Reasons you should go here instead:
- They make much better coffee than Monmouth
- It is cheaper
- It is quiet. Not overrun by tourists and hipsters (yet)
- It is cute. There's a little wooden nook to sit and drink.

"Wild Fire" is a statue by local Ocala artist Nancy Ihasz done for the 10th anniversary of "Horse Fever," a public arts display to raise money for the Marion Cultural Alliance. This anniversary saw 27 new horse statues created and painted by local artists, each sponsored by local businesses, to be displayed for several months before being auctioned off at a later date.

Wild horses in the Onaqui Mountain range of Utah near Dugway in October 2018. As of December 14, 2018 the Bureau of Land Management wants to take away nearly 80 percent of the horses on this range that would leave approximately one wild horse per every 2,000 acres.
The Somali wild ass is one of two types of African wild ass. Overall, the species is the smallest of the wild equids. (horses, asses, and zebras).
The Somali wild ass has a light grey color coat. They have a large head, long ears, and their tail resembles that of a cow, with a tuft of longer black fur at the end. Their mane runs along the nape of their neck is stiff and stands upright. Their lower legs have horizontal stripes of black or dark brown like a zebra, and the edges of their ears are trimmed in darker fur.
The IUCN Red List of endangered species described it as "critically endangered".

This Wild Boar, Sus scrofa, was photographed in Thailand, as part of a research project utilizing motion-activated camera-traps.

Slow roasted wild boar from Marin County, pickled local abalone mushrooms, and green garlic herb pistou. The vegetables were all foraged around the Bay Area, and the tiny chunk of wild boar was from northern Marin. I don't think the boar added much, but the pistou was tomatoey and delicious.
Kia is an Amur leopard at the Oregon Zoo. She lived with Freddy until he passed away in fall of 2008.
The Amur leopard is the most endangered species of big cat in the world. They were expected to be extinct by 2007, but an estimated 40 still remain in the wild.
