IN WHITESPEC:
Nothing's Coming Soon is the first photography monograph by the artist Clay Jordan. The images were primarily made in the American South and were inspired by the Buddhist belief that "life is suffering." Death, mortality, and
decay counterbalances with images of grace and absolute beauty in this current exhibition. What emerges is a poetic meditation on the human condition. Nothing's Coming Soon will be published in February 2019 by Fall Line Press.
This exhibition is part of Atlanta Celebrates Photography.
Advance copies of Jordan's book, Nothing's Coming Soon, will be available for purchase at the opening.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Clay Jordan is a photographer and musician based in Athens, Georgia. He has an M.F.A from Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia and graduated Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University with a B.A in psychology. He has
participated in numerous national and international exhibitions and toured the world with his band pacificUV. He currently teaches photography at the University of Georgia.
