My first Macro Monday. I have been waiting for a good time to squeeze this shot in. Saw the theme for this week and decided it was a good time to join the group and post this picture. This was taken while waiting at Golden States Foods in City of Industry, California.

Looking close... on Friday! : White and Red

delightful capture of the white rose with rain drops on it.

Hi there,

A few years ago, I visited an out-of-town friend who loves to grow roses. These white ones were amongst many of the several varieties that he'd raised.

Thank you for looking and for leaving me a comment. Have a wonderful day!

Petals of a White rose. Softly scented and Oh so soft to the touch.

This is last photo of the white roses from 2017 that I have, unfortunately lost most of the memories of those blooming lovelies.

Back then, blooming white roses were my favourites to check out every day.

HLCoF!

I found this bowl at a yard sale, I think I paid $1. I've used it over and over again in still life images. Don't you love a good bargain!

Since you are my friends, I want to share I am still recovering from a surgery. I've found that I cannot use my camera now, sort of a backslide in my recovery. So archives it is and less time on the computer. I'll be offline Wednesday through Friday.

See you on Saturday!

Another beauty in my garden.

I always appreciate your comments and faves, but especially I am honored that you take the time to view my photostream.

This is 'Pristine', a hybrid tea-rose growing in the rose gardens at Roxborough Park, in north-western Sydney. Located at Baulkham Hills, near Castle Hill. The gardens are maintained by the Hills Shire Council.

Photographed in the late afternoon, in between the rain that has been a feature of Sydney in recent times, on Sunday 20th December, 2020.

'Pristine' has been lucky to withstand the heavy rain and, as such, the blooms are not as "pristine" as once they may have been. But to me that makes them like warriors - and adds to their fragrant charm.

"White is white" someone said. I think that this world is too beautiful to be always classified in few colours. Also the bright white has many shades, allowing to fade from white to white.

The bush of white roses blooms so luxuriantly that some of the buds cannot unravel from crowding!

Thank you all for visits, favs and comments. It's greatly appreciated!

These blooming roses can look perfect in the morning. A fresh start to a day! ☀️

This one's from a fine morning of 2017.

In a garden in Pfersee, which is a part of the city of Augsburg.

From rose bush on the side of my house. Experimenting with framing. (I am not sure of how much I like it).

Thank you in advance, for any comments and likes. I appreciate it very much.

White rose [Rosa - Rosaceae family]

My White garden rose with a hint of yellow.

White Rose Meaning:

There's a reason that brides wear white on their wedding day, because the colour represents purity, innocence, and eternity. Using that analogy will help you remember that the white roses' meaning conveys those sentiments. They can also signify a positive new beginning or everlasting love.

Why is the white rose the symbol of Yorkshire?

From the fourteenth century it has also been the symbol for Yorkshire. The symbolism of the white rose is said to relate to the Virgin Mary, who was known as the Mystical rose of heaven. White is a common colour for purity in religious ceremonies. ... Ever since Yorkshire day has been celebrated on August 1st.

My 'Iceberg' floribunda rose, photographed along First Farm Drive at Castle Hill - a few years ago now - and re-edited this evening (May 26th, 2020) with Snapseed photo editing software, essentially providing a darker background.
