Somehow I changed my whitepoint to blue, so rather than blue images, I've gone black and white for some of these. We are on our way to Boiling River for a dip!
The original Sunset Over Whitepoint was too blah and needed more darks. I reworked it until I got more of the result I wanted. The painting is watercolore and pastel...Just trying something new.
That's White Point in the distance from the bench above one of the Ocean Trails beach access switchbacks.

Met these people down on Whitepoint beach. the family were using the frame and net in the low lying Kelp for shrimps.... As I was watching and talking to the Shrimpers, along came the gent on the right looking for cockles and clams. I was asked if i would take their picture. Wrong lens with me this was the Pic.
But was interesting to see how much free food is out there if you have the time to go foraging.

Scenes from the Hike The Highlands Festival hike at the northern Cape Breton fishing community of White Point on the Cabot Trail
Took these at the beach yesterday, testing out my new Nikon D850 paired with my new 35mm f/1.4G. I used NiSi CPL filter, along with NiSi ND and soft grad filters.
