Happy Painted Tuesday!

Yay, I'm going to Kaikoura for a day trip in a week's time. I'm hoping the weather is good so I can walk along the beach and take photos and maybe spot a seal or two =)

1234 - FEIST

One Two Three Four

Tell me that you love me more

Sleepless long nights

That is what my youth was for

Old teenage hopes are alive at your door

Left you with nothing but they want some more

Oh,oh,oh, You're changing your heart

Oh,oh,oh, You know who you are

Sweetheart bitterheart now I can tell you apart

Cosy and cold, put the horse before the cart....

Everything is empty, everything is perishable.

1969 U.S. people excitedly anticipated that these kinds of buildings were starting points for their architectural futures. They looked forward to observing progressions and refinements of this style in increasingly numerous examples in the long years ahead.

The YMCA banner on the building next door is an intrusion upon my enjoyment. More and more I find I dislike young male Christians for their insistent impositions.

Such a lovely shade of pink, but the graffiti artists have ruined it.

Matthew threw down our free/cheap yardsale white paint onto the parts of the roof that receive the most sunlight. Should cut down on our energy bills slightly by reflecting sunlight away. Thanks, Matthew!!

9 different mini hexagonal canvases (each individual canvas is only 2" to a side, or 3.9" from point to point, making the whole thing 16.25" across and 9" tall) were stapled together to create a modular starship named Starship Orion. You can hang it on your wall if you wish, just go to www.unicoherent.com/ and find it in the "Original Art" section of the shop and have it delivered right to your door! According to the peeling paint, the upper part of the building looks like maybe it used to be pink?!

If the building had been allowed to be pink, Sears would still be in business!

Happy Painted Tuesday! This is one of the last since the year is nearly over, it's also a redo of an earlier shot from a few months ago that I wasn't completely happy with.

I had my last official day at work today! We have our end of year/Christmas/farewell to some staff lunch on Friday at Willowbank Wildlife Reserve and we're allowed to wander around after lunch so I am so taking my camera with me! I haven't been to Willowbank in years. In fact, I don't think I've been since I was a kid and monkey pulled my fringe =)

I found this very funny. I'm sure that the poor family involved didn't, but I just couldn't help smiling.

Man takes a retro beer-glass in one hand and in the other hand a painter, put your hands together, shake for a couple of minutes and here we go .... ;-)
