The Mask Dance was developed and expanded among the people of Cirebon and around the area before the Islamic religion entered. Sunan Kalijaga took advantage of the dance as a missionary endeavor to spread the Islamic religion. Therefore, many of the Cirebon mask are imbued by Islamic philosophies.

The Cirebon Mask Dance has five dance principles, namely Panji, Samba, Rumyang, Tumenggung and Rahwana (Klana). Those five dances stand alone and are not biased if united with each other. All five have different characteristic and accompanied with different instruments.

The lens of my eyes

Captures the morning glory

As a new day comes

With an untold story

The sky is fresh with

The smokeless air

I sit by the window

of my room and just stare

From the clouds above

The bright sun peeps

As the night vanishes

I wonder where its

Darkness it keeps

A new calm descends

in my mind

and a smile on my lips

As I taste the hot cup

of coffee in little sips.

Good bye 2023. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year 2024!

One of the famous resorts in West Java, Danau Patenggang (Danau means "Lake") is located within an hour car ride to the south of the Bandung's city border. The eastern side of the lake sports a cool forest with an average temperature of 10 degrees C and is often hazy the whole day. The north side is bordered by the lush greeneries of tea plantation.

Just imagine that this is the view you see when you wake up in the morning to start your day taking advantage of a all the resort has to offer. From here you can plan your trip to Krakatau Island Nature Reserve or grabbing your dive gear and heading off to explore the underwater world of Ujung Kulon Park and the unique diverse sea life around Krakatau. This is a must see area that will change your definition on what nature can do.

Tangkuban perahu is a volcano, 25 kilometers north of Bandung direction of Lembang. Its location is in between Sagalaherang village, Sagalaherang district, Subang regency and Cikole village, Lembang district, Bandung regency. This is Bandung's most famous tourist volcano just 28 km north of the city. This volcano offers many places to see and explore. Whether we look into the huge crater or hike down into it, stroll through the forest on its slopes, or simply enjoy the splendid panoramic scenery.

Mt. Tangkuban Perahu is an interesting destination that everyone in the Bandung area is fond of visiting. When seen from Bandung, Mt. Tangkuban Perahu has a distinctive shape, like an upside down boat. Tangkuban Perahu means, in fact, "up-turned boat" This peculiar shape has stimulated the fantasy of the Sundanese people from early times as expressed in the Legend of Sangkuriang.
