A fine morning on West nab in the Peak District.

.

The sunset at West Lake (Hangzhou, China), with the world-famous, legendary Leifang Pagoda in the background, is a truly beautiful photo opportunity! As patient as most photographers are, sunset is pure stress for photographers. And when, as at this location, people linger on a photogenic jetty in the middle of the scene for too long (see next photo), it can lead to a unanimous "Go away now! Move on!" or something similar, as happened here that evening 😁.

The American Orient Express used to visit Denver regularly. On October 26, 2005, the luxury train was headed west over UP's Moffat Tunnel Subdivision at mile 11 in Arvada, Colorado (Note: I did not add any color saturation to this image.).

Such a gorgeous building. Sun was shining on the top as we drove by.

I spent many mornings watching trains from the Pepper Street overpass in West Colton, CA. Heck I just lived a mile up the street. I saw some incredible trains right here but this was the one and only sunrise I photographed that had the variety of colors as this one. A set of light power backs on to its train that would depart soon.

in the 20 years of taking pictures this was my first visit to take some of the West Pier.

Taken at sunrise I remember going on the pier as a child and wondering at how splendid it looked and not really being very impressed by the one down the Road. The ravages of neglect, weather and a suspicious fire have left this Grand lady decaying and rotting

The West Pier was designed by Eugenius Birch and opened in 1866. It was the first pier to become listed. On 28 March 2003 the pier was destroyed by an arson attack.

"Down on the West coast, they love their movies

Their golden gods and Rock n' Roll groupies

And you've got the music

You've got the music in you, don't you?

You push it hard, I pull away, I'm feeling hotter than fire

I guess that no one ever really made me feel that much higher

Te deseo, cariño, boy it's you I desire

Your love, your love, your love..."

Move baby, move baby, I'm in love...

The British West Country is a region with a growing reputation for producing quality wines, particularly sparkling wines. Key areas include Somerset, Cornwall, and Devon, with vineyards like Oatley Vineyard, Camel Valley, and Lyme Bay Winery gaining recognition. The region's climate, with its warmer summers compared to other parts of England, is well-suited to certain grape varieties like Pinot Noir, Bacchus, and Seyval Blanc.

While on a whale watching adventure in Maui, I looked back and saw this beauty. There was rain clouds hovering over Maui and a rainbow over Lahaina which just added more to the beauty. We didn't see many whales that day, so at least getting this picture was worth it. :)

Any comments would be welcome.

Thanks,
