This is the biggest lake on Vancouver Island. We drove from Lantzville along the Alberto Highway, and visited Cathedral Grove (with amazing and wonderful old, giant Douglas firs) in MacMillan Provincial Park. Highway 4 is a long and winding road...In Ucluelet, there are car stickers “I Survived Highway 4” which seemed apt as there is construction work going on at some of the more scenic, more scary parts.
I shot this photo as a drive-by with my iPhone. I didn’t pack my other lens for my camera and this called for a wider angle.
It had been very cloudy and rainy on the east side of the mountains, but coming over into the west was a sight for sore eyes.
It’s such a beautiful location!

Upper West (originally: Atlas Tower) is a high-rise building at Breitscheidplatz in the Berlin district of Charlottenburg. With a height of 119 meters, it´s the fourth highest skysraper in Berlin. Designed by Christoph Langhof and KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten, the building was completed in 2017.
The caves run deep into the hillside above West Wycombe village and directly beneath St Lawrence's Church and Mausoleum (which were also constructed by Sir Francis Dashwood around the same time the caves were excavated). West Wycombe Park, ancestral seat of the Dashwood family and also a National Trust property, lies directly across the valley. The caves' striking entrance, designed as the façade of a mock gothic church and built from flint and chalk mortar, which was erected in around 1752, can be viewed directly from West Wycombe House.
NS 110 holds the main at New Baden, IL, awaiting the imminent arrival of eastbound train 167. Although traffic on Norfolk Southern's "Southern-West" District is way down, a victim of TOP-21, the railroad's version of PSR, you can still count (mostly) on some typical traffic patterns...and this is one of them.

We got to the beach before the sand was all messed up by thousands and thousands of feet both human and dog so managed to catch some nice sand ripples.

The two piers in Whitby have been in existence since before the 1500's. By 1540, the two oak piers (east and west) were replaced partially, with stonework (in the reign of King Charles 1), with further work around the 1600�s. Both piers were rebuilt in 1735, each measuring approximately 183m, but by 1814 the west pier was further extended to reach a length of 309m. In 1905, both the piers had new pier ends built on, each of a length of 152m.
Taken a while ago, so before the recent cliff falls that have made the cliff out of bounds. There were notices around warning not to go close to the cliff but even so some people, that I photoshopped out, were happily sitting right against the loose cliff face with their children. I do wonder sometimes...
