This is my friends house of Mundo Nuevo, a fabulous place in Minca. Every night they go on the hill to enjoy the gorgeous sunset. Actually we can see them on the top right chilling ! ;-) If you don't know their place, it is a permaculture farm, giving classes of agriculture with our indigenal friends Kogis. Having just departed Downtown Nashville's Riverfront Station, the first outbound afternoon commuter train of the Music City Star rolls along the Cumberland River. The Music City Star operates on a 32 mile route from Nashville to Lebanon, TN over tracks of the Nashville & Eastern Railroad.
Nissan Stadium, home of the Tennessee Titans, can be seen across the river.

📍No trip to Colombia is complete without spending a day wandering through the colourful streets of Guatape, Colombia's most colourful town! It's only a short bus ride from Medellin so there's no reason to miss it!
Climb the 740 steps to the top of Piedra del Peñol, Guatape’s famous ‘monolith’ rock from where there are excellent views of the surrounding lake region.

The last commuter train of the morning from Lebanon to downtown Nashville (154) is about to arrive at Riverfront Station. An ex-Amtrak F40 shoves as the train passes the ever expanding skyline. Known as Music City Star until recently, the train has been rebranded as WeGo.

NERR B20-8 5939 leads the Tennessee Central Railway Museum's fall yard sale excursion eastbound through the Donelson, TN WeGo Star station. The 5939 is accompanied by the museums L&N painted F7A 819 and L&N painted F7Bs 719 and 715.
The train is destined for Watertown, TN where riders will disembark from the train to walk around town and look at the many yard sales happening on this day.
📍 Santa Cruz Del Islote
Santa Cruz del Islote is surely one of the most striking places in Colombia. It is in the Caribbean Sea, it belongs to the Archipelago of San Bernardo, in the Department of Bolivar.
It is the most densely populated island on Earth with its 493 inhabitants distributed in just one hectare. The average density of the island is 1.25 inhabitants per 10 m², that is, the density is 125,000 inhabitants per km². But the island grows every time the fishermen bring coral stones that they place around it to protect it from the fury of the sea.
Sixty-five percent of the population is under age, there are only 6 surnames and 97 houses. The main activity of the island is fishing. The one who manages the store, or the trainer of the fighting cocks, lives from the fishery. Some use nets on the shores of the islands, others use hooks, and others dive to catch lobsters. There is no fixed time to get up. Those who go fishing in the morning get up at five o'clock. Those who don't, stay up until ten or eleven o'clock in bed or in the hammock.
There are few facilities on the island due to its small size, but in spite of that, there are stores, a health center, a soccer field, an educational center where students can go up to ninth grade and an electric plant that works only during the night. There are also solar cells donated by the Government of Japan. What there is not, for example, is a cemetery.
On this islet there is not a single square meter left unbuilt and its inhabitants are said to ""sleep so close together that they dream the same thing"".

On a cool Saturday morning, three WeGo Star trainsets sit staged awaiting for service on Monday at their yard in Lebanon, TN.
The WeGo star trains run between Nashville, TN and Lebanon, TN Monday through Fridays. A trio of former Amtrak F40PHs provide the power for the trains and I believe the coaches are former Metra cars. Most if not all of the coaches still wear their Music City Star paint and retain the Music City Star logo and name.
Dutch Design Week 2017 in Eindhoven (the Netherlands). The (w)ego pavilion by MVRDV is a fascinating real size sketch that visualises the idea of adaptable living spaces that follow its inhabitants' changing needs for specific spaces. A very interesting concept that may pave the way to new technical developments in optimised urban living space. The striking colours mark each individual space, but the use of colours is also are a reference to its original source of inspiration: the famous children’s cartoon Barbapapa.
Three WeGo Star trainsets wait out the weekend at the Nashville & Eastern yard in Lebanon, TN. This commuter rail operation was previously known as the "Music City Star" until 2018, when the Nashville Metropolitan Transportation Authority rebranded its bus and train services as "WeGo" and subsquently applied a new purple livery to all of its equipment.
Because it is. This eastbound WeGo run is passing beautiful Eagle Park in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. It's a very nice park, and the trains add to it.
📍 Medellín
Medellin is the second largest city in Colombia and is considered as the economic capital. Since the end of drug cartels, the city has quickly expanded to become the most dynamic city in the country. It is also famous for its wealth of cultural activities, a variety of museums, theaters, art galleries, its active nightlife (especially the tango) and the many bars and nightclubs.

Top row, l. to r. are the large and small America Wego/Fiesta fox, Sleet the snow leopard by A&A Plush, Inc., a perfect display example of my first cuddle-bunny, LuvBun, made by Cuddle Wit, the Soft Classics husky/wolf, and a smaller relative by Commonwealth. Bottom l. to r. is a Chrisha Creations snow leopard, a first-generation Cuddlekins wolf and snow leopard, and my first generation Cascade Toy gray wolf.

WeGo 152 is about to arrive at Riverfront Station in downtown Nashville with cab car 796 leading and NRTX 381/NRTX 121 pushing.
The last of three WeGo departures from Nashville's Riverfront Station has just taken off, with NRTX 121 leading two Budd cars originally built for the CB&Q.

Nashville, Tennessee: not exactly a tropical paradise, a land of piney forests, a land of the great plains, or a foreign country. BUT the trains are cool for the most part, and given the fact I love writing, playing, and harshly critiquing music, my accrued vacation time that was about to expire was spent on a three day expedition to the south.
First operation I'll share is the
M̶u̶s̶i̶c̶ ̶C̶i̶t̶y̶ Star, or WeGo Star as it's been horribly rebranded. Bu hey, at least the name change finally made the railroad repaint their equipment after 15 years of operating. I have no idea how these guys make any money, both on a company- and employee-scale, considering they run two roundtrips in the morning and two in the afternoon rush hour. Combine that with the fact that almost every train consists of only two bilevels, I don't know, must be one of the easiest gigs ever!
The railroad's western terminus is the Riverfront-Downtown station, seen here. The station sits in an urban canyon of sorts, which I absolutely fell in love with the second we pulled up to it. Combine that with the random heavy rain showers that came the evening we decided to look for them, and you have a winning combination para mi.
Underneath the impressively massive Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge, and backdropped by an extremely tiny sliver of downtown Nashville, WeGo Star train 157 departs the city with NRTX 381, an old Amtrak F40PH that still dons it's original Amtrak road number leading the way. Both the sound of the HEP keeping this thing in Run-8, followed by a blast of the beautiful K5LA echoing thru this canyon was way more than enough of a sensory overload for me, in a good way that is!
One of the WeGo Star, known better by its former name as the Music City Star, commuter trains arrives in Lebanon after making the morning trip to Nashville & return to tie up for the morning. Normally, these trains run with a single F40PH rebuild with 2 or 3 bi levels, so seeing 2 of them with 5 cars was a treat. 10-2-23
Based on these bad boys. Recently saw some of em passing by (here, here and here). Totally made me want to build one of my own :D
You got to get up pretty early in the morning if you want to avoid the crowds.

I’ve had this image in my head for awhile and this ended up being one of those rare occasions where the final image is fairly close to what I was envisioning. It took a while to find the right miniatures in 1/35 scale to match the MechatroWeGo fires, paint the miniatures and create the diorama. I had thought about making a scale replica of the actual railing at Multnomah Falls but then thought better of it. If there can be mechatros in this alternate reality of Oregon, there can be a stone wall instead of a railing.
1-6-2022 Nashville, TN. WeGo Star.....Cough Cough Music City Star train #93 tiptoes into Nashville as the snow has covered and frozen alot of switches and especially the roads. The sun has just dipped below the horizon and night is fast approaching but I just had to wait in the 26 degree temps.
