If there's one event you must always consider going to then it has to be the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust's Annual Open Weekend in October. It's an extremely well run and family friendly event with around 180 vehicles to see and enjoy. There are two frequent bus routes to sample the buses plus six themed tours involving up to five vehicles on each. The event is very popular with enthusiasts from far and wide attracting many, like myself, from the south of England!
Anyway, here's a selection of my photos from the weekend, including a few I snapped on the Friday before the event. Well done team GVVT, your sterling efforts are appreciated by many!

On our last weekend in the country some friends came to hang out with us. I just happened to have the 70-300 mm on the camera and grabbed a bunch of portraits.
Just back from a great weekend. Started on Friday and finished this morning after breakfast. The weather was dry bright and cold but we were able to get out and about and also enjoy the entertainment put on by the organisers. It was just great meeting up again with friends, going shopping, visiting places and just generally meeting other girls and chatting.
I arrived on Thursday but did not dress until Friday morning. The photos above were taken before Breakfast. As I said it was a cold morning but after breakfast sat around chatting and relaxing reading the papers. Karen & Claire and their wives were arriving at lunchtime and then we would decide what to do for the afternoon. More about that later.

Since 1997, Walt Disney World has sponsored a series of special Star Wars Weekends at Hollywood Studios. Last weekend opened this year's events.

Looking beyond tired, 66068 sits on Llanwern’s Down Service Line shut down for the weekend after working a Saturday 1825 6H29 Margam - Llanwern inter-works service.
A wee photo from last night's shoot with the new Glasgow band, Weekend Wars. Thought that we'd try something a little different to the average "four lads looking cool." Took a bit of work and more than a little improvisation, but it came out looking pretty good I reckon! The water was about knee deep where they were standing. Just a quick-and-dirty edit for now….

Enjoyed my last day of the family day long weekend today. Kath was away visiting friends in NYC so I had the entire weekend to myself in Toronto. Even had the chance to pick up some old cameras that I've forsaken since going compact. I've had no regrets going compact but I still haven't found a lens i love as much as Canon's FF 35L. Easily my favourite 35mm lens of all time. Admittedly I haven't shot with a Leica Summilux yet. One day maybe, in a future long weekend where I find manual focusing fun.
I've heard good things about the new Olympus 17mm f1.8 but think I might wait for the Fujinon 23mm 1.4 f1.4 to be finally released. Until then I have my trustly 35L, I just wish it was smaller.
This weekend saw some amazing cloud formations all throughout california. This was the best I could manage despite mother nature giving me everything to work with, I either forgot my batteries, or got kicked out of a spot from getting some shots that I really wanted. Well this upcoming weekend calls for partly cloudy skies, so I'm hoping for good things!

We had the house to our selves this rainy weekend, so my wife let me dress for the whole weekend. I got to dress and act the part of a 14 year old girl since Friday evening. While I would never pass as a woman none the less a 14 year old girl, it is a fun fantasy. All the clothes I have come from the girls dept down to the panties and training bras. I ended up sleeping in this on Saturday night. While my wife doesn't mind playing along and even brings home girls clothes for me, she has no idea I have pictures or worse have posted them. Last weekend I attended the annual Cass Railfan Weekend hosted by the Mountain State Railroad & Logging Historical Association. This shot was from the first photography event, the night session at the C&O water tank.
While the Cass Scenic Railroad controls all of the track now, originally the tracks on the far side of the water tank were operated by the C&O and the logging mainline started at the tank where Shay #11 is sitting. If you look closely, you can see the ruins of the lumber drying kilns from the old lumber mill behind Western Maryland Shay #6.
