Misericordia University's 2022 Alumni Weekend was held June 3rd - 4th. It was full of fun activities for alumni who were able to reconnect with each other while also meeting alumni from other class years.
Highlights of the weekend included the Golden/Golden Plus Luncheon, Arch N' Vino, and Dr. Myers giving his first annual reunion address with alumni.
Hey y'all, I just got back from a Fantastic 25 hour date with Mitchell in Raleigh. Here I am Saturday afternoon on the deck of our awesome suite! We went out to a great Italain meal and a little shopping then back came back to the room for an evening that included a first for me, getting into a jacuzzi. Yes I have never even been in a jacuzzi much less been in one with my boyfriend but needless to say I loved the experience and can't wait to do it again. We were up soo late we barely got any sleep last night then today we checked out and ate some great Japanese food then spent the afternoon at the mall. This Wednesday is our one year anniversary but we are going to celebrate it next weekend. Look for lots more pics this week from last night, some pics I have in honor of our anniversary and possibly the rest of the mountain pics and some of the blast from the past pics I have saved. I hope everybody had a great weekend and will have a good week!

On our last weekend in the country some friends came to hang out with us. I just happened to have the 70-300 mm on the camera and grabbed a bunch of portraits.

mine include a lunch date at Michelberger (well that's today, but friday is almost the weekend, right), some time on the train, my dads birthday get-together with the family, and pancakes on sunday (yepp, looking forward to that)

A Manhattan-bound New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) N train is seen approaching Broadway Station on the BMT Astoria Line. The middle track is crowded with out-of-service trains laying up for the weekend, prepared to enter N and W service on Monday morning.

Because of my cold, I must spent all the weekend at home :o(
So I decided to practice a bit with portraits (self portraits), as I have no studio my room was transformed in one… but I have no lamps so I used the light coming thought the window!!!

Entonces decidi practicar un poco con retratos (autoretratos), al no tener un estudio transforme mi habitacton en uno... Y como no tengo lamparas use la luz que entraba por la ventana!!!

Così ho deciso di pratticare un po i rittratti (autoritratti), non avendo uno studio ho trasformato la mia camera in uno... E ho usato la luce dalla finestra!!!

The caper (Capparis Spinosa) is a plant typical of the Mediterranean flora that has been cultivated since ancient times. The first quote of it can be found even in the Old Testament of the Bible.
The capers of Pantelleria are the Italian most precious capers (Capparis Spinosa Inermis Cultivar Nocellara). They are the only ones who received the PGI label (Protected Geographical Indication). Thanks to the combination of the volcanic soil and a warm and windy climate, capers in Pantelleria acquire a unique taste exalted only by their salt preservation.
The collection of these floral buttons called “capers” takes place every year from the end of May up to mid-September. After their collection and preservation by sea salt, the capers are ready to be used in various ways to give more flavour to many courses like first courses, second ones, sauces and condiments. The caper has the power to grant a special taste that enriches food creating very tasty dishes.
