this is one of those snapshots that freezes the transition from one facial expression to another and in the process creates the illusion of a third facial expression. really, she wasn't doing anything that would justify this evil look.

Rose of Sharon bloom with water spray from a garden hose. 1 flash off to the right at 1/8 power setting. Sadly several old blooms had to be removed to improve the scene.

A worm's eye view

Desde mi ventana, en una mañana nublada y con niebla, esta calandria cantaba e iba de rama en rama intentando alimentarse de unos pequeños frutos rojos.

Maybe if it rained pennies and dimes from the sky, money actually WOULD grow on trees!

Lighting Info: SB600 overhead 3' from subject. gridded SB600 camera left onto just the hammers (sticks). Triggered by Nikon CLS.

My son on the Turks shore at sunset. This is asooc (almost straight out of camera) as far as saturation, exposure, ect.. Did do a little tweaking by cropping.
