Most modern roses have little or no scent. Hybridizers of roses have concentrated on form, color and disease resistance at the expense of scent.
I don't remember the name of this rose, it has been planted for decades. While it may not be the most beautiful rose, it has the most divine scent.
Late once again. However, my take on 'Doorways'. These are several of the interesting doorways I saw in Venice last week. So many different types and sizes! I put it together in a collage quickly. I may go back and redo it a little bit.

A sticker I seen in a doorway. It must have been there since last year, seeing that 1st May was a Tuesday last year. I think it was a call to revolt against the "machine". Dangerous times indeed! Anyway it looked a little tired and the yellow is somewhat faded. So this is my Worn and weathered Wednesday pic.
