Again, there wasn't much to shoot since the body had been removed, so I moved around and tried to have fun.
Thanks Fabio for suggesting a visit! Cool Weegee and Magnum exhibit! And the bookstore was dangerous.
A carelessly discarded cigarette led to a blaze which consumed the top two floors of the Greenhouse pub on College Green, Bristol. The resulting fire which started at approximately 3.30pm, required five crews to put it out.
Nobody was injured in the fire, however, the building suffered extensive damage.
Actually, I got there just after the fire crews arrived and before the police and the media. So, in a sense this is a first.
Usually, a smaller print used for magazine publication is shown

On this shot the action is centered on the guy with the umbrella.
It's a proof of concept of a fast shot, the composition could have been better and specially the DOF could have been lower and the cropping could surely have improved the final result, but the idea was here to compose and shoot as fast as possible.

Had a five-hour layover in Amsterdam on Friday, traveling form Norwich, England, back to icy Norway, after three days in UK working. Visited Weegee exhibition at FOAM gallery in the Dutch capital. Amazing show! The title of one of his 1940s crime pics from NYC, of a midget in custody, read, "A New York low in arrests."
Pick a photo by one of your favourite photographers and try and make an exact copy of it. (Idea: Takushi Hamma)
I Chose Weegee because i really like the way he takes his images and what type of photos he takes. I also think weegee and i have common interests which is crime and taking photos of crime scenes may be something i want to do in the future since I'm pursuing a criminology major. He also lived in new york and i am actually moving there!
This image was taken with the same settings he usually uses which is camera preset at f/16 at 1/200 of a second. I think this setting makes photos come out more dramatic and focuses on the main subject.
i also used a speedlite flash attached to the camera to get better and more dramatic lighting.
