This is one of my treasures - a wedding invitation from a flickr contact in Mumbai. I love everything about it, the texture of the paper, the red printing, the design, the bejewelling, the style of the text, the bottom line "Presents in blessings only". Even the envelope and the stamps: I can't show everything here - this is just one of the invitation cards and its red folder.

Some of you asked to see these so here are the invitations I have made for my son's wedding.
They are not my usual style as I love to make pretty things but the brief they gave me was vintage/retro, vinyl records and admission tickets. So although I struggled at first to come up with a design, I am pleased with how they turned out and they love them so that is what matters. I will be delivering them tomorrow. I've bought a lovely little crate to put them in, I'd already taken the photo though. I've given the photo a retro film edit as I thought it would suit the style of the invitations.
It is of utmost importance to decide on a theme prior to choosing your colors and even your wedding invitation cards. This makes it easier for you since you will then have a range of colors to work with. The rustic theme is catching up of late with Forever Fiancés recording a new high in orders for this theme.

The shot has a lot of unfortunate noise and all (can't wait to have my new camera!), but the horse and its rider are in a rather iconic position here. :)

Save the dates and envelopes custom designed and lovingly Gocco screenprinted by me. Printed on super thick (300 gram) textured cardstock with rounded corners.

A dear friend of mine from college is getting married soon! This is her invitation - I'll be flying back to SF for the celebration. She's the first of my friends to get married. Hmm..am I at that age where everyone around me will start to get married and have babies already?

Today I glued all the liners on the envelopes.
Tomorrow we have Easter here and I want to give some of the invitations to the relatives me meet. What do you think?

This week's letter to my daughter will be extra special, because it will also be a wedding invitation. We have set a date, and a location within Smoky Mountain National Park… the clock it ticking.
As it stands we are going to have our children stand with us at the small wedding ceremony that will be family-only. I'm excited to have my daughter, her husband, and the four grandkids with us!
