Since spring has arrived so late this year I decided to photograph the entire neighborhood. These trees have had a rough few years.

After a night of heavy rain Mill Creek was swelling with water just below the pedestrian bridge. Normally you see people fishing it where it empties into Lake Ontario.
Rochester, NY's annual Lilac festival has ended. But our backyard Lilac bush is still in full bloom.
These are some of my favorite fall flowers -- New England asters (Aster novae-angliae). They can range from rose colored to bright purple. In our area of New York, they seem to always be an almost electric shade of purple. They really brighten things up!
