Hasana represents a luxury, lifestyle brand with great accessories and handbag designs for the fun, classic and feminine girl of today. The Hasana Collection has clean, happy and bright colors, inspired by the Dutch Caribbean island of Curacao.
And guess what is sooo wonderful about the Hasana line?... You don't have to feel guilty about splurging on great, designer jewelry, because 100% of the proceeds of the sales from the Hasana collection directly benefits The Apareció Foundation (a nonprofit organization that raises funds towards educational grants and program for low-income, high-potential Chicago Public High School female students). Every penny. Every dollar. Benefiting education.
There were several projects that I got to oversee, design, and guide the overall art direction to Hasana's marketing materials — a 16-page LookBook highlighting nine different collections of jewelry, the website is in development, but pages are still in development, Event Posters for the launch party, and 9 different informational cards defining the inspiration and designer for each collection of Hasana. I wish I could take credit for the photography, too, but these stunning images were taken by Amaris Granado (amarisgranado.com).

Goal: To introduce and invite the public to the church.
Audience: The main neighborhood is an upper middle class suburb, with lots of highly educated young families.
Direction: We did a long study on audience and goals. Visually we wanted to communicate a welcoming and friendly tone, with lots of invitational messages. Of course the content is variable, and probably will include more people or something.
Project: Public website
Other important info: The hope is for this to become a wordpress template. Any feedback is welcome, as I am pitching this to the team soon.
UPDATE UPDATE: I finally got through the approval process on the serial numbers page, but it's telling me that my zip code is incorrect. And it won't let me complete the order process without the correct zip code. Good thing it offers me a corrected zip code. Please note, however, that the corrected zip code is identical to the zip code it offers me.
Which is, as you may have guessed, not only bad customer service juju, but extremely annoying.

So it looks to me as if my battery should exchange nicely, but I get this message on the Apple website. This is better than the nothing I was getting earlier, when the Apple servers were utterly smashed. But still frustrating. My battery is contributing to global warming, so I want a new battery that doesn't melt the polar ice caps.
So I call the support number. Very handy of them to list it right there on the failure page.
The first few tries I get the customer support menu on crack cocaine. It only makes it through the first few options before shutting me down.
After fifteen minutes or so (I do wait... no sense overloading AT&T in the process), I get a real menu that seems to be responding and listening when I say "Powerbook G4."
"Okay," says the menu guy. "I'll transfer you to a Powerbook Dude."
Okay, those weren't the exact words. But you know what I mean.
Then the menu woman says "Please wait."
Then.
Utter busy signal. The line it's just transferred me to gives me the busy signal with no way to back out and no way to leave a message and no way to do anything but sit and listen to the busy signal.
Which is bad Customer Service JuJu, and not at all like the Apple I know.
My stock in Apple is likely to tank today. But I don't care. I just want my new battery. And right now, I don't have a really good way of contacting them.
Because, well, you know, over a million people need new batteries. And they don't want their powerbook to burn the house down.
That, of course, would be considered even worse Customer Service JuJu than the busy signal.
I'll let you know if things change.

This is a screenshot of the website "Project Watch" that I never published. I wanted to track all of the transportation infrastructure projects going on in Chicago when Mayor Rahm Emanuel was elected and hired Gabe Klein to be the commissioner. The city wasn't tracking the projects, although they said they intended to.
Dedicated teaser website -- part of an event branding system for LIFEFORCE Youth.
This is part of a new promotional effort we are doing for LIFEFORCE Youth, a new monthly called Phenom Fridays featuring different musical guests and resident talent, djs, all geared towards reaching out to new kids in the metropolitan Miami area.
