Really looking forward to my visit to the 'Ghost' station Aldwych tomorrow. Can't wait especially after seeing especially after seeing some of Vulture Labs images when he went last week and also its a rare chance to see I station on the Underground that is stuck in a time warp :-). Anyone else been or going tomorrow?
This image I originally thought this was going to be an unusable image when I viewed it after taking it on my viewfinder. This time is at the top of the staircase rather than at the bottom where Hostel was taken. Both Daniel Borg and I found the light terrible and we didn't really want to use our tripods in fear of the whole lot falling down this hole to its doom. Luckily it came out OK. Sadly I can't find much out about this carpark apart from that its quite a cool looking carpark compared to others.
It didn't work at all in colour and looked really washed out so again went for the black and white conversion but ultra high key which I feel works. I cropped it to a 1:1 to keep everything going on in the middle of the image as the wide angle version didn't work as there was too much wasted space within the image.
You are probably wondering what the name of this image is all about. Hira Shuriken are the throwing stars that a Ninja would use and when I cropped this it reminded me of them.
Also just like to thank you all for taking the time and commenting on my work as I have had the last two previous uploads reach Flickr Explore. I really does mean alot to me that you come and visit my stream. Oh one other thing, you may remember me a few weeks ago that I have some good news to divulge well I still have but I am not sure if I can say what it is yet but will keep you all posted! :-)

Really enjoyed visiting and editing this place. Again I went last year in Open House but came bit disappointed as my lenses were not wide enough to get the images I wanted.
Friend and photographer Mark Hepples went to City Hall late on in the day, around 1700, I thought it was going to be fairly quiet as most people would have been in the morning but actually it was quite the opposite. We couldn't even get on the balcony at one point to look at the views due to the amount of people. Also looking at this image you get the sense of how many people were in the building at this time. For those who went in the morning was it quiet?
Now this image, I put my Samyang 8mm fisheye on. This lens really compliments the building well due to the massive sweeping curves and bends in the spiral staircase, 0.5km of it. I did used my Sigma 10-20 but it just didn't create the effect that I wanted. Big thanks to Mark Hepples for the name of this image, the fisheye makes it resemble a Helter Skelter, massively over emphasising the curves which is what I wanted. Be sure to check out Marks photostream, he has some awesome images on Flickr and he is also uploading his Open House images too.

Information
City Hall is the headquarters of the Greater London Authority (GLA) which comprises the Mayor of London and the London Assembly. It is located in Southwark, on the south bank of the River Thames near Tower Bridge. It was designed by Norman Foster and opened in July 2002, two years after the Greater London Authority was created.
The building has an unusual, bulbous shape, purportedly intended to reduce its surface area and thus improve energy efficiency, although energy use measurements have shown this building to be fairly inefficient in terms of energy use. It has been compared variously to Darth Vader's helmet, a misshapen egg, a woodlouse and a motorcycle helmet. Former mayor Ken Livingstone referred to it as a "glass testicle" while the present mayor, Boris Johnson, has referred to it as "The Glass Gonad" and more politely as "The Onion". Its designers reportedly saw the building as a giant sphere hanging over the Thames, but opted for a more conventionally rooted building instead. It has no front or back in conventional terms but derives its shape from a modified sphere.
A 500-metre (1,640 ft) helical walkway, reminiscent of that in New York's Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, ascends the full height of the building. At the top of the ten-story building is an exhibition and meeting space called "London's Living Room", with an open viewing deck which is occasionally open to the public. The walkway provides views of the interior of the building, and is intended to symbolise transparency; a similar device was used by Foster in his design for the rebuilt Reichstag (parliament) in Germany. In 2006 it was announced that solar photovoltaic cells would be fitted to the building by the London Climate Change Agency.

Considered the recreational crown jewel of the Santa Monica Mountains, Malibu Creek State Park has over 8,000 acres of rolling tallgrass plains, oak savannahs and dramatic peaks. It's no wonder many call it "The Yosemite of Southern California".
The park was owned by 20th Century Fox from 1946-1974, and portions of classic movies like Planet of the Apes, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, M*A*S*H, and have been filmed in and around here.
Century Lake Dam is a nice rest stop on the way to the old M*A*S*H TV series set.

Here's one from a project where I was trying to nail the combination of a water droplet crown along with getting a nice bokeh shot at the same time. It took a lot of trial and error along with some patience, but I think the finished shot here is pretty cool. Sometimes patience does pay off! I've found the Tamron 45 VC to be an extremely versatile lens. It is getting a lot of use, from events to landscapes to video work. I'm definitely a fan!

(Description from Tyneham website) St Mary’s Church is rather small compared to other churches in the county of Dorset, however it managed to serve the villagers of Tyneham quite adequately.
Built of limestone rubble and dating from the 13th Century, the South transept was rebuilt in the mid 19th century by the Reverand William Bond. Outside in the graveyard you can find memorials to the Bond family of Tyneham House.
After the military took over Tyneham, the church was neglected and fell into disrepair. Some of the fittings were moved out to other places. For example, the bells and organ were moved to Steeple church and the Jacobean pulpit was moved to Lulworth Camp.
Today, Tyneham’s church has been restored and now serves two separate purposes. First and foremost it’s a museum of the village’s history. It contains many charts and displays, recording both the broad history and the minutiae of village life – there are documents, artifacts, time lines, old photographs and everything else you’d expect to find in a small town museum.
The second function of the church is to act as a sort of memorial shrine to the ‘idyllic life’ that the inhabitants had so unfairly taken away from them. The names of the villagers now line the inside walls and also grace a restored bible.
When the villagers left the for the last time, they pinned a note to the church door.
The note read:
“Please treat the church and houses with care; we have given up our homes where many of us lived for generations to help win the war to keep men free. We shall return one day and thank you for treating the village kindly.“

I went downtown Seattle on Saturday to actually watch a 70mm version of 2011 Space Odyssey, and i happened to go through the "Occupy" protesters on Westlake Park. a very diverse crowd, and a lot of photo opportunities if i had stayed longer.
Featuring Joan Miró on the tail - a Spanish painter. Seen here is "REDNOSE 7073" departing for her 10 hour flight to Oakland.
