Flattening. Assuming an area for up to 30+ avies on occassion, views of the long back straight (to put this near the bridge would clutter that whole area) so makes sense here. Also this is the longest straigh and there is room for token pits

Built some bespoke look and feel dome modules and added some palms for feel.

This just came out of the blue but a direct link from the welcome to the shopping on a lovely 2 degree sloped walkway - I opened up a part of the dome and it works very well

The textures here are actually a shot of red earth I took in WA outback mapped onto the landscape

Automatic sliding doors on the viewing rooms

I am getting ready to build the race control centre on the central mountain. A cambered glass affair with seating for race officials and so on. Will take a couple of hours to get effect I want. Similar to an airport control tower.

Also prefab small builds for bar and clubs

Les White is actually designing a bespoke bike for this course. Using the Havoc physics engine so that lag is optimised but road holding works on the altitude changes - which is the big issue from his single height track courses

All textured and duped. Easy! The path has been fixed and now links to the pontoon rank making it feel more a part of the Pond family

Added signage to the viewing rooms. Viewing room 1 has some functional movie previews in now for user experience

Texture and linked the whole thing. Used a gold and made 30% transparent. Started to add the inner floors

Now with fencing which echoes Pond 1 a little. This allows cars to travel at up to 250mph equivalent until they actually fly over the fencing too - the physics of centrifugal

Now to map this and plan dive routes and quests (treasure chests etc)

Here I am adjusting the advertising and cage elements of the welcome zone

Bit of a jump, but here a central platform and flat large prims laid out for scale. Used my cutout all over to give perspective during build and also eye lines. Boats are for scale too. This will be the harbour water activities area

I left space to walk between and look at views and so on. My thinking here is to make the hoarding and how it sits in the environment interesting too. These are scalable hoardings so can be changed quickly

The road is speed tarmac, a peeling paint inner block and black asphalt for the central zone

Charlene is trying to get the bridge done for end of week so I can start to put race timer gates around it and advertising hoardings too

Again the anomaly of partially visible Pond central - useful to note that the club on the left will have an outdoor area on this island top left, that the Outback bar in the middle will lead onto the Uluru walk and of course there is an inlet top right of this island to join with river from Pond

One thing that is starting to work well is the 'appropriate' RSS feed in certain areas. Listening and dancing to music while music news ticks around on screens makes sense, more than general ads of course. On request and in advance of a short progress video of much the same sort of thing - here is Pond's very own Very Mulberry posing around - the ads are all placeholders but many actually work as clickthroughs already - to give a look feel..

There will be various pedestrian viewing areas around with ads in too. Cinema as very basic stage, screen, seating space. Lots to do here

Added working cinema screen and adusting central platforms

Not sure about the bamboo now as it doesnt sit with other builds as well as I would like

and ferns scattered. It will take a lot to get full green coverage, some sims have a 'green foliage' texture that covers the whole island, as we need sand it will be best to have a scattering of these smaller plants to get close to the right feel.

Used a cutout of me for scale as issues about size were raised

Warda popped over and decided to add windows to the side of the Opera House (she is feeling a little concerned that it lacks detail). I also suggested and showed her the Lamps and seating that she has also started to add. I will be adding some switch on/off seating for events later on
