On April 4, President and Mrs. Bush visited Therisanyo Primary School in Gaborone, Botswana. While visiting the school, they learned about Botswana’s partnership with Pink Ribbon Red Ribbon to vaccinate girls ages 9-13 against HPV which is critical to cervical cancer prevention. This week, President and Mrs. Bush are visiting Botswana and Namibia as part of their continued commitment to the people of Africa through the work of the Bush Institute's global leadership program. WEB leaders and teachers welcomed incoming 6th graders into the gymnasium at Weeks Middle School this morning. WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) is a program that supports a positive learning environment and school climate by harnessing the power of spectacular 8th grade students to guide and mentor entering 6th grade students.
