Image taken in the early morning when everything was coated in dew (including myself after a few minutes of wandering around). I am sure that this spider web would not be very effective until the dew evaporated!

Really pleased with this one. Normally I use a bit of unsharp mask just to make things pop. This didn't need it, which suggests that:
a) I focussed it right
b) The Orestor is one sharp lens. Nothing much by way of CA visible either.
our landlord doesn't have anyone coming to clean the hall and stairs of our building, so spiders are loving it. some workers who are fixing the burnt apartment upstairs sanded the floors the other day, making the webs look really amazing. too bad for the spiders though. i don't think they're going to be able to catch anything in a dust covered web.
Had a great time out this early this morning. Initially watching the sunrise then looking out for other photo opportunities. This web was tucked away amongst reeds and grasses as the beads of dew reflected in the sunlight.
Foggy, grey winter mornings make me work harder for photographic fodder but webs are often highlighted by the weather conditions.
Photo taken by my son Laurent and processed using astrophotographic methods.
In Seattle on the water front of the Sound
This greeted me in my frontyard one day. The spider had spun its web between a lamppost and a tree but had then disappeared. I hope it's not hidden somewhere waiting to pounce on me.
Out for a walk on a foggy morning in Algonquin Park, I came across this spider web in a tree, just as the sun was finally poking through the fog.

Spider web in the garden in Brighton.
Taken with Minolta MD Macro-Rokkor 50mm f3.5 with 1:1 extension tube on Panasonic GH2.
A macro of a spider web, I liked the web moreso than the spider (so didn't stress about blowing out the spider highlights etc) (18/365)
