Colorful rhythms in the breeze
Web strands shot during wind movement and under bright conditions provide an optical spectrum feast, due to waves of light being scattered by the silk - diffraction - speed of the shutter, and quantity of softness from a softly focused lens, i.e. not focused sharply on the web threads at any given moment.
Much of what I capture is by trial and error and a good deal of luck, not judgement, as I react spontaneously to these intriguing opportunities. The light however, has to be right.
One of many large spider webs near the marsh area of a small lake. I succeeded not walking into them....ok, most of the time. :) Always amazed at their beautiful design. Liked having some bokeh behind this one.
Why did this tiny spider build a web with this pattern? Very small (about 1cm across) and horizontal.
This we know: All things are connected
like the blood that unites us.
We did not weave the web of life,
We are merely a strand in it.
Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.

The web was strung between two wheelie bins and the other bins completed the background colours. I liked the bokeh in this shot.
