This web looks multicoloured on my phone, but not on laptop. Think I need to calibrate my computer.. so I don't know how you guys are going to see this!
I think it looks kind of cool anyway 😊
Spider webs are works of art!
Eufaula Wildlife Refuge, AL, USA.
LARGE is better...see the water drops really sparkle.
The night before we had thunderstorms in the area which provided the moisture for the spider webs that were prolific along the little lane that meanders through the Wildlife Refuge. I caught this one in the early morning light.

Macro Mondays theme Bokeh
Out in the garden, battling with the elements, this is a section of spider's web in one of those rare moments of sunshine after the storms.
This portion of web measures around 4cm (?) and I didn't even realise there was a spider there but I think it turned up for the photo opportunity. I had to crop in a bit as well to avoid some annoying coloured distractions in the background.
I hope everyone is well and wishing everyone a positive start to the week!!!
Happy Macro Monday! 😊
Summer is here in all its beauty. Early morning walks give the possibilities to take not only lovely landscape photos. It's a nice time to shoot macros. This guy was posing me for a while:-)
Thank you for all the comments and faves, my friends.
Shot taken early in the morning on a foggy hillside, web heavily laden with dew.Camera tripod mounted, manually focused, and reframed.
The shot was taken against a dark background, backlit and heavily under-exposed to accentuate the beads of dew.
The image is starkly monochromatic, only counter-pointed by the inclusion of the spider in the frame.
The spider was also an early riser and I think adds a balance to the image.
Please view large...to get the full effect of the image, many thanks.
I decided to go back to Webb Bridge to see how it looked in the night light. I think it is better this way.
What a tangled web we weave... Spider webs offer such fertile ground for the imagination. They lend themselves as symbols for so much that goes on in our lives, in our world, or, in this case, outer space.
This is just about as taken other than a crop and a touch of sepia . A spur of the moment shot after glancing out into the garden and spotting the sun on the web , the sun did move a bit and this is about as much web in one go that was illuminated .
The statue has lived in the garden for quite a few years now , accompanied of course by his Queen - see them in the first comment box .
This is one of the very first macro pictures I took during the year (2017). I'm not sure if it is sharp enough for flickr but I keep being drawn to it when I look back at the pictures I took this year and the colour of the background draws me to this spiders web. So I'm going to upload to judge whether it has any merit or not...lol
Noticed glints of colour in a web in our back garden as the early morning sun hit it. A steady breeze vibrated the web enhancing the play of colour.
Did you know, huimmingbirds collect spider webs and use them to make nests. They use spider webs to glue there nest together. I have seen them use lichen and and other small pieces of material with the spider web to bind them together and there nest is only about the size of a walnut as you can see in the image I shot below.
