Rain Drops, on a Rainbow Spider Web.

I certainly wasn't expecting this effect!

HWW have a great day ;0)

This week's challenge is texture. I saw these webs on the side of a building and wondered if I could capture how soft they looked without getting so much of the brown metal of the building. I'm not a fan of spiders, but fortunately I didn't run into any!

This was an experiment in merging a photo of people with a spider's web.

Wandering in nature

Happy Wing/Web Wednesday Hope it's a good one for you all, although I have a feeling it's gonna be a little soggy out there today. HWW ;0) (Red Veined Darter?)

The flycatcher would turn away and look for flying insects and then keep turning back towards the web, so I think that the spider might have been catching its eye, perhaps hiding on the branch or in the leaves.

Water droplets cling to a spider web, reflecting light in various hues, showcasing the intricate design of the web.

My alternate POTD, although I did not take that many photos today, there were quite a few I loved :-) I loved this one because of the muted tones due to the fog that hang about all day.

The fog and mist made these numerous small spider webs glow. They reminded me of a field of fireflies. Once the weather cleared I couldn't even see where they had been.

This one is a real mess, not what you think of when you think spider's web but I liked it and the way the water drops are all different shapes and sizes.

gum tree & spider web

This outcome was due to an experiment, trying to capture the web with a flashlight, but of course that left the lighting too dark so the camera made a long exposure and here is the result. Not a great photo of a spider, but I do like the prismatic web colors! Those never come out with flash. This is the same kind of spider as in yesterday's post.
