Preserved former Brighton Corporation Transport 51 WCD 51, a Leyland Titan PD2/37 built 1959 with a Weymann H34/27R body on Longsight Road in Greenmount by the junction with a Hazel Hall Lane taking part in the Bury Transport Museum’s vehicle run. Sunday 24th May 1987
Note, WCD 51 was originally owned and operated by Brighton Corporation as number 51, being renumbered 75 in November 1973. It was withdrawn from service in 1975 but retained as a driver training vehicle. Brighton Corporation became Brighton Borough Council on 1st April 1974 due to local government reorganisation, and WCD 51 was purchased for preservation by Mr F Way of Preston in January 1981. It was acquired by S White following the death of Mr F Way and was later sold to The London Bus Export Company (a Lydney based dealer)
For some reason, possibly an owner's prerogative, WCD 51 carries an incorrect Brighton Hove & District Transport fleet name
