I swear everytime I post something its related to some stupid change which has occured. Ugh. The last of the MRL locomotives have finally been removed from mainline service due to BNSF PTC going live. How ironic that the MRL was actually who began this PTC project but in the end became the victim. It's truly a waste as all 5 GP35's are likely sidelined but at the very least unable to lead trains any longer. Over the last few years of its existence the MRL spent over $500,000 to upgrade all 6 GP35's with a complete rewire and upgrade of the control system. MRL 405 has an easy tell by the red antennae right behind the cab. A close eye will also reveal the MRL 404 has been completed, as the class lights it wore its entire career have been removed and tastefully patched during the rewire. This was all done in house by MRL employees, not contractors. Now, who knows what will happen to them? Always thought they were pretty neat units who didn't seem to be very popular elsewhere but for the most part were very good workhorses in local service across Montana.

"Nuclear Waste Land" 1983

Another image with a 'Dark and Light in our World' flavour. This is definitely a dark image .. enhanced by the extreme grain of Infra-red film ! A washed up barrel of .. what ?!? Oil / Chemicals / Nuclear waste .. who knows. .. !! In the distance, a 'Martello' tower .. built to defend against an invasion from Napolean. Dark stormy clouds and foreboding cliffs rise to the right while sombre looking waves roll in from the left. And in Kent .. 'The Garden of England' of all places.

Don Quichotte entirely made of waste material in 2014 by Gérard Larock a Belgian artist. This artwork was exposed in the village of Han-sur-Lesse in Belgium (2019).

It touches a topic that is still very much in the news today.

You said I was your beat, what the fuck!

Oh what a waste of time

Now I am just your bitch, what the fuck!

Oh what a waste of time

Why am I uploading now? Thank the greedy air traffic controllers at Athens airport who are on strike and caused my trip to be delayed by 2 days.

Malakas!!!

I was supposed to have my seat belt fastened and ready for take off right now as I'm uploading this crap. More first world problems: I don't even have milk in my kitchen to put in tomorrow morning's coffee.

The N&W 611 wasn't wasting any time getting through Reidsville, NC or any other place for that matter. It was all I could to to keep up with it this time...

Jeremiah 4:23 “I looked to the land, and lo, waste and void, And unto the heavens, and their light is not.”

Indoor winter blues, photography.

The Grand River overflowed it's banks on Wednesday February 21 2018. A state of emergency was issued and evacuations were ordered. We were on our way home, but stopped to see how high the river had risen and took some photos with the cell phone. This is just one of them showing a waste land of ice, water and debris.

Went out to take stormy sunset photos. The sunset part didn't pan out like I was hoping for. I did happen upon someones salmon waste.

Thank you to everyone who visits, faves, and comments.

It's been gloomy all week and I'm grumpy. So here's a crappy old shot. Look at that. If they just cut down those trees there would be a lot more room for people to sit.

I cannot abide wasting food; it is so lacking in imagination, will, and sense of responsibility.

The supermarket was dumping these avocados because they have gone too soft to sell (too soft for whom?). So I grabbed one to use for my salad.

This avo has come all the way from Peru. 20% of the emissions from growing it are made of the transportation, so putting it in the bin will be more than a waste: i find it offensive.

Sure, it wasn't the greenest fruit, but smashing it and mixing in a chiffonade of scallions, garlic, cayenne pepper, and some lemon juice has made this into a delicious accompaniment for crisp lettuce, or whatever.

And the farmer in Peru has my gratitude for growing such a wonderful fruit.

I wasted so much precious time, looking in all the wrong places only to realize you were waiting for me all along .. right beside me .

I created this composite image for the series "Visions of Grandeur". I could envision that someone had a opportunity for success which crumbled as the surroundings changed. Such as a chemical factory being built and the environment going to waste. I used a photo I took of a Drug Store in Adairsville, GA. I was amused by the homemade sign in the window saying "SHUT", instead of CLOSED. I used a couple of images from Pixaby to create the background. (Processed with Lightroom, Photoshop and Topaz)
