Who is ready for fall in the PNW? This transitional time of the year, though short, has some of the best color palettes. Golden larches, orange and red shurbs, grey granite and blue-white snow all come together in a wonderful symphony of colors. And even though I sometimes wish it can stay like this year around, it is the fleeting nature of the colors that make it special.
Hope you get to enjoy the colorful foliage this time of the year. Check out @washingtontrails for ideas on where to go.

I am so grateful for what this body allows me to do and see. Moving is healing. This annual hike was much more than a stretch of the legs!
Trip from Seattle to Oregon, Hood for a quick and light accent. We were the firtst on the mountain that day. Started around 12-1 AM and hit the ridge right at the sunrise. Levi was a bit crazy and did it w/o ice axe..
Photos from The Enchantments. Soaking up the fall season while the larches are in their prime time. The landscape changed as the sun rose higher. Started with golden misty morning views with a finale of an unreal blue lake. It was great to see so many people enjoying a day hike or backpacking further!

Morning hike up, with a run down. Beautiful winter sunrise and strong winds at the top. Taken on iPhone.
