Usually Tofu sleeps ON his fluffy blanket but sometimes he crawls under it to take a nap. It's cosy and warm and he thinks that nobody will ever find him there. Today he mainly hid there because I had taken him to the vet in the morning for his vaccination and he was sulking. :)
Even in March, I'm still a lover of snow, ice, and all things winter but I do desire that warmth of the winter sun. I'll be looking for some local vitamin D this year so fingers crossed for more days like this one. Wishing you a sun shiny Tuesday!

Beautiful pastels, warm pinks and sherbet colors grace the layered cliffs of Cedar Breaks National Monument in Utah. Such warm colors and tranquil shadows, stretching long in the last of the evening sunlight.

Contemplating the thoughts of great master photographers like Ansel Adams, Galen Rowell, etc. I started to think about what they said about growing in skill and soul. It is very true: the camera does not make the photographer, the photograph makes the photographer.
I look back at my early photos. Even with such great equipment as my Canon EOS, I can tell the quality of the compositions have improved, mostly by gaining inspiration from other great photographers like you on Flickr. What an awesome journey! :)

From a distance, the orange Yarrow flowers were a soft blur of warmth in the garden. Upon much closer examination, one could appreciate the fact that 15-40 tiny flowers were clustered together on a stalk.

Receding sunlight and transition from warm tones to cooler tones. It is amazing to watch this happen as the sun sets each time ... and how quickly that change in tones occurs.

This male Green Woodpecker was so engrossed in enjoying some warmth on a very cold morning that he didn't seem too bothered by my presence. I was just settling in for a few more shots when a dog walker appeared and he flew off.
One of the advantages of getting up at stupid o'clock, is being able to be on site before the insects warm up enough to be active. This Dogwood Calligrapha beetle is just starting to feel the warmth of the rising sun. Four-image handheld stack.

Her home was a magical castle, each room holding a different experience that are all so precious in her lifetime. Sometimes, she finds herself walking into a room without any thoughts. Other times, she actually plans to visit certain rooms she is so familiar with, yet there are times when she forgets where certain rooms are located or gets lost in one room with the intention of being in another.
This evening, she was looking for a particular room. This was a room she didn't visit for so many years and was yearning for it. It was the one room where she could be herself completely. A room that held all her desires, dreams and peace of mind. After hours and hours of searching, she thought she could never find it but there was a ringing in her head and a light whispering call singing her name. With much focus she managed to follow the voice until she reached the top most room of the castle.
With a happy heart she pushed the door open and was welcomed with warmth, light and a sweet scent in the air. She floated around, bathing in the darkness that was her solitude, embracing her heart that was always shining from within for others but perhaps it was time that her heart will shine for herself too for a change.
"It is your turn."
This is her time.
P.S. Shout out to the lovely SweetBun, Lya! She gave me an inspiration Image and told me to go crazy trusting me to add my own touch to the artwork. I have never been so inspired in a while to do a solo shot but here I am!
