Slowly working on this one..Xur's helmet engram this weekend gave me the Skull of Dire Ahamkara...can't wait!
This model was the first image that popped into my mind when I decided to collect a Skaven army - an old, crippled Engineer who rides a wheelchair that drags itself along with mechanical spider legs. I'm really quite happy with how close I was able to get to what I saw in my head.
The chair is mostly Corpse Cart, with some odds and ends thrown in. My approach to creating warmachines is to dump anything vaguely appropriate from my bitz box onto my desk, and then start fitting it together like a jigsaw, discarding pieces as the model starts to take shape.
I'm also very pleased with his 'crusty old geezer' tartan shawl - my first attempt at painting tartan, and it's actually quite straightforward! (Well, if you have low standards for painting like me, anyway...)
This was part of my project to get a School League Skaven army ready in under a month. I'm pleased with the result, but excuse the numerous mistakes!
It's kind of hard to draw a silver eye in black and white XD
First arts of 2017! I am back to doing fast sketches on photoshop now that the holidays are over.
I read the entry for the Doomrocket in the Skaven rulebook, and decided both that it was nigh-on useless and that I wanted one in my army. Hence this Engineer, converted from the Poison Wind Mortar in the Island of Blood set. The rocket end is the shell from the Vindicator, and a few other bits and bobs show his status and the Warp-Lighting Condenser I've also equipped him with.

An older Johnny Lightning model beside the new M2 release in 1/64. Very close but the JL is slightly smaller.
My Warlock, just started the Sunsinger subclass training, I want self revive! Not having as much fun with this guy as I am the Titan, but he's still cool. The whole glide feature is weird....
Full rare gear on him too..This is all Tengu Operant stuff from the Crytarch and blues from my main character.

I built this for Vignweek which is being hosted by Rebellug, I would highly suggest you check it out, there is a new theme every day, todays was lair. You will likely se empire builds for Vignweek from me later in the week. This build was fairly simple and because of homework I didn’t have a ton of time but I had some fun with the mining being zapped and laying all of the DBG 1x2 tiles on they’re sides was neat. Some of the little details like the skeleton and barrels were fun and I loved working on the waterfall, water is one of my favorite things to build and be around. I hope you enjoyed this build, a fairly simple one this time around. Let me know what you think in the comments!
