Legend has it that is is called Wallets because Canterbury pilgrims would leave their wallets there for safe keeping; more likely it is from an ancient word 'waylet' meaning crossroads.
These are the wallets that I used on my trip to South Korea. I liked my Pacsafe money belt. I even got the one with the wire that runs through the belt. I also bought a really cheap wallet that I carried less than $100, my train card, and my phone card.

My most favouritest restaurant, JW Steakhouse on Park Lane, invited Tasting Britain down to their first bourbon masterclass (the first hopefully of many). This one was a one off, hosted by Tom Fischer, one of the world's leading bourbon experts/bloggers. He just happened to be in the area (London) since he basically spends much of his time in one of the southern states (I’m quite sure it’s Kentucky) being sent bottles and bottles of bourbon by various distilleries. Legit.
But yeah, back to the masterclass. These are held in JW's extremely swanky private dining room and the one I went to was one of THE most fun experiences I have had in quite some time. The selection takes you through (I think?) 7 bourbons - most of them rare, some of them extremely rare indeed. Some of the mad shit included one called Old Grand-Dad - which originates at least a decade before the date of my birth (DAD BOURBON). Or cask strength George T Stagg (at 69.05% ABV, jesus!). This was served up with some of JW's food (mainly meat...), which is absolutely insanely deliciously great and always has been.
More about JW's bar (which is unsurprisingly called the Bourbon Bar). It has a some serious credentials. Srs bsns. Firstly, the largest selection of bourbon in London. At over 200, I'm not exactly sure how many they have (I wonder if they even know?) - but they have bottles dating all the way back to the pre-prohibition era (ever had an 80+ year old dram? You won't forget it, and neither will your wallet). They also are the first (and only?) bar to have their very own unique Jim Beam single barrel bourbon. The drinks manager, Karina, went all the way to the distillery in Clermont, Kentucky, to pick a barrel - which was brought back to the UK and can now be seen in the restaurant lobby. Asides from this, JW also run a more regular routine of 'Tasting Flight Tuesdays' which I believe you can just drop into. JW…immaculate as ever.
