The day before I took this photo I had arranged for my camera to be collected from the hotel where Wonderful Husband and I were staying. The camera is to be repaired under warranty (I hope).

I was sitting in the cafe at Cambridge Botanic Gardens examining the settings on my phone camera and found "solarise".

This is one of my experimental photos.

Melody loves to look after the wild animals.

And now that winter has really arrived, it is even more important for her to make sure the food is served on time! ((^_^))

Melody's pretty new dress set was bought at a mini meet last weekend.

Thank you so much Emma it was just what I needed! ((^_^))

She was our lovely young waitress when on a Danube river cruise . I don`t know how she managed it but she always had a radiant smile for everyone. We were coming to the end of this delightful cruise, when I took this shot of her & I did not realize that it would be my last foreign holiday for some time .

Why a portrait of a waitress? Well, they are important member of the workforce and the society. If you don't believe me, wait until you get a slow one or a bad one, and you're hungry and thirsty and who wonder what's taking her so long. Also, this is a very pretty waitress, and i like taking pictures of pretty ladies.

Last weekend Marg and I took a run down the Central Valley to her childhood hometown, Porterville. This gave us the opportunity to cruise approximately 250 miles of some of California's ugliest highways. Along Highway 99 I noticed that there were quite a few stretches designated as memorial highways. They were dedicated to mostly Army Brigades and Military Brass. After a while I started looking to see if there were any stretches of asphalt dedicated to more common folk, like Alice Bummuffin, life long diner waitress, mother, and friend to many. After all, what's more essential than a waitress who spends long hours on her feet trying to please the epicurean fancies of we picky diners. I'm into equal opportunity memorial highways. Just saying.

Late last November, Guy( www.flickr.com/photos/ozgfk/22930379874/in/dateposted/ ) and I had a drink and a chat about cameras at a bar along Kandahar Street. Our waitress was cool and friendly, so we asked if she would let us take her portrait. I got her name, wrote it down, and now it's disappeared. If I find that paper, I'll update the photo title here. I recall her saying that she's working at that bar to pay her way through school.

Seen between courses at the anniversary dinner held in the Dunedin Town Hall. It was dark with blue spotlights through steam lighting and my panning skills were failing despite only two small glasses of university branded wine. The sous vide beef fillet and the double chocolate brownies were good though.

Oops, I did it again o.o

Flirting your way to have something from me will probably work .. so, use it wisely hehe
