This Photo was taken in a condominium in Kuala Lumpur. The Carpark Slab is using precast waffle slab which was not popular now anymore.
I was always a big fan of Eggo waffles but ever since my dad bought a professional waffle maker and started making them daily, I got sick of them. After a 2 year hiatus, my dad pulled it out and made some again..they were yummy :D Of course, I put chocolate chips in mine and they were delicious!!
I've been so bad at getting to everyone's streams and I apologize for that: all my procrastination left me with a weekend jam packed with assignments to finish. I shall make my rounds as soon as I can! :)
THERE ARE A LOT OF WAYS FOR PREPARING THIS DELICIOUS CAKE
AND DIFFERENT COUNTRIES HAVE DIFFERENT WAYS TO DECORATE THEM...
THE BEST, IN MY OPINION IS:
♨ INGREDIENTS:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 cups milk
3 eggs, separated
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 pinch salt
whipped cream
♨ DIRECTIONS:
1. Combine the flour, baking powder, confectioners sugar, oil, milk and egg yolks.
2. Beat the egg whites and salt until they stand in soft peaks, mix in the vanilla at this time and fold into the batter (do not over mix).
3. Pour 1/8 of the mixture into a hot waffle iron and bake for about 2 minutes.
4. Repeat with the remaining batter.
5. Top with your favorite fruit and whipped cream and serve hot.

Even though I usually save the silly puns for Valentine’s Day, I couldn’t resist going in that direction for today’s theme, “Waffle”, in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. This beautiful Blythe doll is Devi Delacour. As you may have noticed, the waffle isn’t real; I printed a picture from the internet and cut it out.
i've been having such fun (& good luck) sewing with knits lately, that i thought i'd go ahead and try something with this super soft, off white, waffle-ish knit that i've been holding on to. it was more difficult than i'd expected... but after some stitch-ripping and re-sewing i think it turned out pretty good. fun for layering.
once again i started with a pattern from this book.
today is National Waffle Day and National Knife Day -

All in one bite....the honey, butter and sugar! No need for drizzling syrup. Great on-the-go waffle and the best part....it stays crunchy. Freezes well and all you need to do is pop it in the toaster to heat it up. The secret ingredient is the pearl sugar. That's the key to the crunchiness and dark golden carmelization. Fresh fruits are great compliments and of course a good cup of coffee :). We have blackberries at the market today so that's our berry pick for today.
I can't think of a tastier way to get rid of a day old baguette then to dip it into a vanilla cinnamon egg bath and toast it in a waffle iron. YUM!

Macro Mondays - X
A light bulb went off this morning when my son mentioned waffles....
Happy Macro Monday to All!
We Swedes eat waffles (it's the Waffle day!) today so I thought I would share one with you! :-) I like eating mine with cloudberries.
Beautiful texture from Max.
HBW! :-) I'll be posting for Whispery White Wednesday later on today!
The rare and elusive Waffle Coneflower (sp: Coldiumlicious). Native to cold weather habitats, it is frost tolerant and the base of the flower is edible.

This is the last photo from the restaurant, Duck & Waffle, as they were mostly in the same direction, but I took this because of the rainbow. Tim spotted it first and so I went over to the window on my own to get a shot. I don't think anyone else noticed it, so I was very lucky. I presume it was genuinely in the sky and it wasn't there more than a couple of minutes so I was fortunate to get a shot. When I looked again after I'd sat down again it had faded away!
have been slack with my uploads in the last couple of days. These waffles were from the fine food cafe in the rocks. so delicious :)

For my birthday, Mike's parents got me a Hello Kitty waffle maker. It makes 4 cute little waffles at a time, shaped like Kitty and her bunny and bear friends. The backside is traditional waffle-patterned. These are the second batch of waffles I have made, using Krusteaz Belgian waffle mix. The waffle maker's instructions have some recipes for homemade waffle batter but it's poorly translated from the Japanese and calls for strange ingredients like "strong flour" and "weak flour" and uses metric weight measurements instead of cups or tablespoons. They do suggest a variation on the basic "pancake mix powder" recipe using minced tea leaves that seems really intriguing, if I ever buy any loose leaf tea.
This picture was a pain to take because the lighting is all weird and with the flash it was ugly and washed out.
Somebody mapped these and found that there are 132 of them in the USGS quad that represents most of Metro Atlanta, and 45 more in the adjacent quad that holds Atlanta's northern suburbs.
