The Wacker Neuson is light crawler excavator. Wacker Neuson is a German company that builds industrial/construction machinery.

Although small it still weighs 5500kg! It has a small engine that produces 70HP, which is enough for the main tasks it is used for, road construction, landscaping etc. It comes either with a standard lenght arm, or a long version, which extends the maximum digging depth from 3,8m tot 4,1m.

Found this one while on vacation in Trusetal Germany.

Flanked by 55 West Wacker on the left and OneEleven on the right, the former United Building towers above the Chicago river with its post-modern Roman Pantheon inspired architecture. Something about 77's design just clicks for me and is still easily my favorite in Chicago.

Another view of 333 West Wacker in Chicago. The building is actually known for its color that nicely reflects the green water of the Chicago river. However, the scans I got back from the lab were screaming: desaturate me, my color is unbearable!
