The wind coupled with frigid temperatures is where I think Chicago gets its Windy City nickname. Damn was it cold today. I decided to go out during daylight hours knowing that it was going to get worse tonight. Anyway, this has to be one of my most favorite intersections in the Windy City.
I think this will be my next night shot scene. Perhaps some stacking software to enhance the light trails.
Stay tuned. Perhaps I'll dream up something different.

Trying to explore every inch and angle of this great city during the night hours! Late into the evenings during the weekdays are usually a good time to grab shots of empty streets and one, Wabash bridge.
While there a few buildings in the frame, my favorite would be 35 W Wacker - construction started in 1924 and finished two years later. This building has long since had a name, although a few in the past were the following:
North American Life Building
Jeweler's Building
Pure Oil Building
Stay tuned for further architectural shots, until then ...
Enjoy!
These shots are always fun and give you a little bit of a rush. By "these" I mean the ones where you set up your tripod on the median of a busy street like wacker drive. It is slightly more challenging trying to take a photo with the loud sounds of traffic on either side.

This has become my most popular picture on Flickr, I don't know what that says about us.
I have been waiting for this picture to look dated, but it still looks contemporary to me.
Today's story and sketch "by me" you see Scotty Kagler
and his wife Mimsy and one of their 87 grandchildren,
gliding in their Bush Wacker 16 just above intake
boulevard near Blythe California.
The two have just arrived from Mars through worm hole
nines Lost Lake enter exit portal, and are gliding to
Lake Havasu for the Martian Gypsy Campers Jamboree and
annual Moon Pie baking championships. Scotty won last
years championship, and won the Bush Wacker with his
Triple Chocolate Truffle Moon Pie.
If Scotty can win this years competition with his
newest creation the Goat Cheesy Snickerdoodle moon pie,
he plans to give up his floor supervisory position,
(floor buffing machine operator), job at the Kahun
Crater Gynochiropractic Clinic, and move to Earth,
use the prize money and open a moon pie take away in
nearby Quartzsite.
