The Mercedes W114/W115 series was introduced in 1968 and was designed by Paul Bracq (Fr. 1933).

The W114 had a six-cylinder, while the W115 had a four-cylinder engine.

All coupes in this series had 6 cylinder engines.

In 1976, this series was replaced by the W123 series.

The addition E stands for Einspritzung (fuel injection).

This 280 E was probably imported from the US.

The original colour used to be white (registered as white).

 

2746 cc L6 petrol engine runs on LPG.

Performance 185 bhp.

1506 kg.

Production Mercedes W114/W115 Series: Jan. 1968-1976.

Production Mercedes W114 this 280 version: April 1972-1976.

Original first reg. number: June 19, 1973.

New Dutch reg. number: Aug. 24, 1999 (private import).

With current owner since March 26, 2024.
