Tea and coffee at Bistro Vue are served with a little petit fours AUD5. It was Canelés today!
We've never had canelés before, and we were a bit uncertain at the tough caramelised crust, but the fragrance was very enticing. After consulting our friendly waitress, she explained that it is essentially a custard batter flavoured with rum and vanilla.
The springy centre looked like a sponge, but more chewy. Quite delicious!
Julia's long black coffee was very good too!

Birkenhead, Vue Multiplex. Opened as the Warner Village Theatres in 1999 and rebranded Vue in 2004. Another multiplex is due to open elsewhere in the town soon and the Vue is expected to close.

Longue Vue is a landmark golf club overlooking the Allegheny River in Penn Hills. Its Norman clubhouse was designed by noted Pittsburgh architect Benno Janssen and has remained a ritzy place, despite the decline of the surrounding areas.

Vue Cinema, Leicester Square. Opened as the Warner, designed by Edward A Stone and T R Somerford in 1938. In the mid 1990's the auditorium was demolished and replaced with a 9 screen multiplex. This was thoroughly refurbished in 2017.

The Saturn VUE is a compact SUV that was sold and built by Saturn, and it was Saturn's best-selling model. It was the first vehicle to use the GM Theta platform when it was introduced in 2001 for the 2002 model year. The VUE was later facelifted for the 2006 model year. A second generation model was launched in 2007 for the 2008 model year as a rebadged Opel Antara. The VUE production in North America ended as GM wound down the Saturn brand during its 2009 reorganization.
