The snow monster says "vote, damn you!"
Vote early and vote often!
Now wait a minute, Mr. snow monster, you know you can't vote multiple times.
Poppycosh, I say!!!
Don't tick off the snow monster

About 10 minutes from voting here. A nice man came out distributing coffee (we agreed this was a good thing,) several elderly ladies with various canes/walkers/weapons were helped into the polling place directly without have to wait in line (we all agreed this was a good thing too,) the woman in the burgundy hat was a newspaper photographer who took many photos of the line before realizing her friends were standing right in front of her (not sleeping well due to her apartment's lack of heat due to storm etc.) And then we were inside, dots were darkened, scanners were fed, and we were out after approximately 1:45 of line standing.

For the majority of this quarter, I've been working without a computer. My teacher was really into this poster. The idea was to keep it spare, include everyone and make something that would stand out. I stole the type from Margaret Kilgallen. One color cut-paper silk screen. 1 out of 1
There are a couple of polar opposite views regarding voting.
One is the idea that your vote doesn't really count.
The other idea is that the collection of individuals in our democracy comprise the sovereign nation. This is the "of the people, by the people, and for the people" concept that, however much anyone fails to comprehend it, continues as a principle underlying our form of government. In this wise, it is the power of increasing numbers that embodies the importance of your vote.
In other words, the fewer people who vote in any election, the less power the "electorate" is excercising, and vice-versa.
Those who are elected can see that low voter turnout in any election sends the message that most people are not concerned with the outcome, nor are most people concerned about what they might do until the next election cycle.
This is why voting is important. It isn't who you vote for that matters the most. What matters the most is THAT you vote.

Go vote for the Knicks city dancers as the best dance team in the league today. And notice they got wise and used a really great photo I took for them in the voting page:
this was the night of the strike vote. the hospital I work at we have been in contract negotiations for over 14 months. I believed at first management was waiting for the election, to get over, and if Romney and Ryan had won we would have been watching our union get dismantled, bit by bit. Thankfully that didn't happen.
Management that has no problem spending money on fines, due to poor patient care, which is so related to poor staffing, It would be nice if they could spend those million of dollars on staffing. They continues to try to portray us as greedy wanting more money, when truthfully we want more staffing. I've been a nurse for 29 years, I'm at the top of that pay ladder, as many of us are. So my pay is fine. It would be lovely to have more staff, and not play hurry up and catch up with the patients I take care of. I'd like to continue to be a real nurse, not the skin milk version of one.
with the french flag
SDF here stands for "sikkim democratic front"
but that was funny because of the french flag, in french SDF is someone who is homeless "sans domicile fixe".
