On Day 2, July 8, the cyclists trekked from Stevenson to St. Rose de Viterbo Church in Longview to celebrate a 6:30 p.m. Mass followed by dinner and a presentation on vocations.

On Tuesday 25 April, in Renehan Hall, Maynooth, The ‘Year for Vocation to the Diocesan Priesthood’ on the theme Take the Risk for Christ commenced with a conference on Evangelisation and Vocation hosted by the National Vocations Office of the Irish Bishops’ Conference.
The keynote speaker, Archbishop Fisichella, addressed the conference on the theme ‘Priesthood in a Synodal Church’. In addition, a panel of expert speakers was facilitated by Ms Wendy Grace: Ms Jennifer Kehoe, Bishop Donal McKeown, Father Brendan Kilcoyne and Dr Gavin Ashenden.

On Friday, March 18, sophomores from all Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Saginaw took part in Vocations Day at the Center for Ministry in Saginaw. Students learned about what it means to be called by God and how to best hear and respond to his call. Those in attendance learned about various vocations, including generous single life, the priesthood, religious life and marriage. There were numerous speakers, including a married couple, an engaged couple, priests, religious sisters and more in attendance. The Most Rev. Joseph R. Cistone, Bishop of Saginaw, participated in the day and celebrated Mass. During his homily, Bishop Cistone encouraged the young people to be open to God’s will in their lives.
The Queen of Peace Chapel at Caritas Christi, the motherhouse of the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill, Greensburg, Pennsylvania, reflects the sisters’ desire for integrated lives of mission, community, and prayer.

On Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, Bishop David Walkowiak celebrated the annual Wedding Anniversary Mass to honor in a special way the sacred vocation of marriage. Among the congregation and the Sunday Mass viewing audience were couples celebrating milestone anniversaries. A marriage blessing for the couples was given by Bishop Walkowiak after holy Communion. Couples and their families gathered for a reception at Cathedral Square Center following the Mass.
