I have visited this Bulldozer before and each time the environment improves, The First image was shot over a fence which ran down the near side of the dozer, the last image was constrained by hay bales which were stacked close, this time I had plenty of room and almost perfect lighting. Vlog here youtu.be/h-qoRW-uOI4 This is a location that I have wanted to revisit for ages in the right conditions. I got lucky today I think. Sunrise didn't look like it was going to amount to much but at the very last second, some beautiful colour started to appear in the sky. Also, the waves were playing ball. Very active seas made things interesting and challenging but my adventurousness was rewarded with long wave trails and no rain. It's not often that everything comes together as well as this so I am really pleased to have made the effort this morning! Taken at Tronach Head near Portknockie in Morayshire, Scotland.

Yesterday was a really productive day. After a 30 minute jog first thing, I decided to drive to Spey Bay, in Morayshire, Scotland, to do a vlog and get a couple of images. When I set out, there was a thick sea fog over the entire area but by the time I made it to this location, it had more or less completely burned off. This put somewhat of a damper on my thoughts of a moody, very long exposure so I had to work with what I had. Which, to be fair, wasn't a bad thing as the light shining off the pebbles on the beach made for a stunning scene.

One of Mr Hardcastle’s vlogs on photographing frozen waterfalls mentioned looking for ‘details’ within the overall scene so that was what I did to get this shot. I took a landscape shot too but felt the impact of the portrait image was greater. Just posting as it’s one of the rare times recently the upload page for Flickr has loaded properly on my main PC - thought I’d take the opportunity as my alternative workaround is a bit torturous.

My challenge lately has been trying to find compositions that are interesting enough to photograph in the bright, sunny weather. On a recent walk out to Logie Head, I stepped off the path along the coastline to the east of Cullen in Morayshire, Scotland, when I noticed this pool amongst the jagged, leaning rocks. With little to no wave activity, I was delighted when all of a sudden there was a slight surge that created a little contrast in the water.
