Imagen capturada durante la ceremonia de bendición del solar y de la primera piedra de la nueva iglesia, capilla y noviciado de las RR. Madres Oblatas del Santísimo Redentor, así como la inauguración del edificio de los locales para la enfermería terminado poco antes y que en la foto queda justo tras el tabernáculo decorado con motivos vegetales. La escena tiene lugar en el patio de este convento inaugurado en 1887 en la antigua Torre de Ponte en el paseo de las Damas, antes paseo de Sasera.
A la izquierda destaca el arzobispo Juan Soldevila durante la ceremonia. En primer término, autoridades locales y entre ellas, el gobernador civil Sr. Tejón y el alcalde Sr. Fleta. Además, la Madre General del Instituto de Oblatas, los directores espirituales de la Comunidad, las asiladas ("en su mayoría muchachas abandonadas y de vida licenciosa", según el lenguaje de la época utilizado en publicaciones católicas sometidas a la censurada eclesiástica), la Junta de Damas recaudatoria de fondos para la obra, y otros invitados "de las clases más elevadas de la sociedad" (sic) zaragozana. Al fondo y desde la distancia, la Comunidad de las Oblatas observa la ceremonia junto al edificio conventual.

General Description:
The two storey Czechoslovakia Pavilion consisted of two buildings linked by an entrance hall. A simple, clear architectural strategy provided a harmonious backdrop for the exhibition's exciting displays. The first building featured two levels of exhibition space with a central courtyard which drew some of the largest crowds at Expo. Czechoslovakian art, technology and industry were presented to visitors through an attractive mixture of light, sound and video. The Hall of Centuries exhibit showcased texts and artifacts from ancient royalty. In the Hall of Tradition, visitors could find old and new glass and crystal and learn about their manufacturing processes. The World of Children enchanted the pavilion's younger visitors featuring puppet shows performing traditional tales. The second building featured four restaurants; Le Bistro served light snacks; the Bratislava Inn was a wine tavern; the Castle Restaurant featured fine Czechoslovakian cuisine; and the Prague was home to the famous pilsener Urquell beer. Offices, a gift shop and a theatre could also be found in this second Czechoslovakian building.

Synesthesia in art:
Sometimes defined as the simultaneous perception of multiple stimuli in one gestalt experience.
This ring has been nothing less than 'synesthetic' to me from it's very inception. When I looked at a piece of brass wire I had just hammered and worked into whimsical curves, I heard jazz (in my imagination, anyway).
A magenta square from a recycled vintage earring with scroll-like flourishes, burgundy Swarovski Crystals, and a tear-shaped freshwater pearl, scatter all over the curved brass wire like bursts of jubilant noise.
This ring is a size 6.

En este curso introductorio, se propone un análisis y construcción de la visualidad que va de lo fotográfico como referencia más inmediata de nuestra percepción hasta llegar a las abstracciones de dichas percepciones, lugar dónde cobran fuerza los elementos materiales que forman cada evento comunicativo y visual. En este sentido el alumno a lo largo del taller aprehende y construye los signos visuales: "fotográfico", "ideográfico", "tipográfico" y "gráfico puro" en la medida que los reconoce como elementos de su percepción visual y en estado de composición.

Dear President Salovey and Provost Polak:
In the wake of the recent Presidential election, we—the undersigned students, faculty, and workers—urge you to take immediate steps to make Yale University a sanctuary campus for students, staff, and their family members who face deportation under President-elect Donald J. Trump’s proposed policies.
Trump’s politics promise to put the undocumented members of our community at unprecedented risk. The threat to students and workers requires a concrete and tangible response from the University—not words and symbolic gestures. We write in solidarity with other students and workers across the country who have called upon their own schools to take similar action.
An internal 2011 memo declares that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers are subject to certain restrictions upon entering college campuses. This puts Yale in a unique position, which it can and should use to protect its undocumented community members from law enforcement. It is the duty of this University to ensure that it remains a place that actively protects the rights and safety of its community.

Given that many students and their family members now live in fear of Donald Trump's deportation threats, we call upon the University to immediately develop a protocol for making itself a sanctuary campus. Yale has promised to be a home for all of us. A home is supposed to be safe. We owe it to the most vulnerable members of our community to do our utmost.
If we do nothing, then our stated commitments to diversity, justice, and inclusion will reveal themselves to be empty promises and hypocritical lies. At this moment, we cannot afford silence.
