This caterpillar is tiny, much smaller than it looks in this photo. I found it in the garden today. To be honest, my feline bug alarm Linus found it first and informed me. When Linus discovered it, the caterpillar was dangling from a tree on a silk thread and when it climbed further down into the greenery I took a quick photo. Apparently our visitor didn't bring his family and friends, at least I didn't find any other caterpillars but as I don't know what it is and how much damage it can cause I decided to rehome it. I took it to a wild meadow in the neighbourhood where I take every little creature I don't want to have in my garden. Lots of slugs have found a new home there too over the years.

Cleo, grazing in the farm yard, has spotted a visitor to the farm, one that may pat or brush her.

At the Hassan Tower in Rabat.

Hassan Tower is the minaret of an incomplete mosque in Rabat, Morocco. It was commissioned by Abu Yusuf Yaqub al-Mansur, the third caliph of the Almohad Caliphate, near the end of the 12th century. The tower was intended to be the largest minaret in the world, and the mosque, if completed, would have been the largest in the western Muslim world. When al-Mansur died in 1199, construction on the mosque stopped. The minaret was left standing at a height of 44 meters. The rest of the mosque was also left incomplete, with only the beginnings of several walls and 348 columns being constructed.

Summer brings Seaborne visitors, many from the States.

S/he came for a visit on our front pathway and eventually slithered off into my garden. Actually, maybe even jumped.

Common Tern / sterna hirundo. Straws Bridge, Derbyshire. 16/05/20.

I was delighted to find the Common Terns (first seen yesterday), were still on site early this morning. They were favouring a different place along the edge of the lake and regularly used wooden posts to rest on. I photographed them from my car today because they were raised up from the ground … very obliging of them as, using a zoom lens this time, I was able to make some very different images. Can‘t believe how lucky I‘ve been with this pair of globetrotters! :-))

This Great Blue Heron dropped in for a bite to eat and assumed the classic fishing pose. They always visit when you are least expecting them. This one was a pleasant surprise.

Macroglossum stellatarum

A summer visitor to the UK from Southern Europe....seen in my garden feeding on the Red Valerian which grows in copious amounts in our village as well as some in my garden. This flew in ( or hummed as it flew past I should say ) in the last heat wave mid June 2022 in Yorkshire !

Many Thanks to the +10,930,000 visitors of my photographic stream!

A friend rocked up to show me his two seater roadster. For anyone familiar with the Morgan, they are quite unusual in the way they are constructed.

Looks like a fun thing to take out for a Sunday drive! Envy!!

This past year we had many visitors in the garden,

After working in on an 0Z66 Tuebrook to Crewe overnight, 66779 stands with 66747 in Crewe loco siding. I have no clue why they decided to stable them here or even why they came to Crewe but it was a pleasant surprise nevertheless.

Mike followed the Visitors up to the mothership with his camera - everyone was there, John, Diana and a strangely ominous pile of what looked like red dust on the hangar floor...

Edit - Thanks Brothers Brick for featuring my MOC!

Grabbed a shot of this guy out the window of my office. Lots of branches to contend with so this is the only one where you could see him. Don't know what kind it is

A nice visitor of last Paris Air Show was this Pilatus PC-21 wearing house colors. I could try some prop blur and it went great.

I used an antique filter on this in PhotoScape, because I wasn't altogether happy with the way the original turned out. This is in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, just south of Cleveland, Ohio.
