After trying five times to photograph this location, I got finally my wished photo. The light on the sky and the mountain was perfect. The trys before, it was a cloudless morning with flat light or the sun was coverd by a layer of clouds.⠀

🇩🇪 Nachdem ich schon vier mal versucht hatte dieses Motiv zu fotografieren, hat beim fünften mal endlich alles gepasst. Zuvor war ich mit der Lichtstimmung nie zufrieden. Entweder war der Himmel wolkenlos oder die aufgehende Sonne wurde durch eine dicke Wolkenschicht verdeckt. ⠀

Regnbågen visade sig en kort stund vid vårt besök i naturreservatet Nävsjön.

The rainbow appeared for a short while during our visit to the Nävsjön nature reserve.
This bewick's wren jumped over to a branch near me at Commonwealth Lake. I did what any photographer would do, trying my best to present a nice portrait for the cooperative subject!

The rose chafers are a subfamily of the scarab beetles. The subfamily is distributed worldwide, but has its distribution focus in the tropics. About 3000 species in about 400 genera are known. The taxonomy of the group is controversial. Wikipedia

This male Downy woodpecker came to visit our yard, and worked his way to an area with a clean background.

I went over to Greenway for a short walk today - it was raining off and on. I was keeping my eye on a Great Blue Heron, when this female common yellowthroat came over for a visit. I suspect that I was near a nest, as she wasn't shy in approaching me, and continued to linger in the area as long as I did, so I moved on. She didn't follow.

Every year, this time of year, I have the pleasure of seeing the Townsend's warblers. They're likely around other times, too, and I just don't know where to look for them. But in the Spring, I can watch this tree as it blossoms, and will eventually see one. One of our flashier warblers!

Das Alte Rathaus in Leipzig – die Ostseite des Marktes der Messestadt dominierend – gilt als einer der bedeutendsten deutschen Profanbauten der Renaissance. An seiner Rückseite liegt der Naschmarkt. Bürgermeister und Stadtverwaltung sind seit 1905 im Neuen Rathaus untergebracht.
The Old Town Hall in Leipzig – dominating the east side of the market square in the trade fair city – is considered one of the most important German secular buildings of the Renaissance. At the back is the Naschmarkt. The mayor and city administration have been housed in the new town hall since 1905.

Clouds in the sky after a rainy morning. I went to Oak Canyon to get out and smell the fresh air. This set was captured from the same spot on a hill top. I was lucky today. It was a good day.
I had seconds to get this shot. Good thing my camera was on and close to the correct settings.
