4-H Clover College is a four-day series of hands-on workshops for youth presented by Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County. Emphasis is on science, agricultural literacy, healthy living, career development and citizenship/leadership. Many of the projects made during the sessions are eligible to be exhibited at the Lancaster County Super Fair in July.
2021 Clover College featured 48 workshops with 93 youth who participated (varying from 1 to 15 classes each) with a total 627 class registrations. New workshops this year included: “Virtual Reality Building,” “All About DNA,” “Decorative Couching (sewing technique),” “Steak Science,” “On the Bike Path (bicycle safety),” “Derby Cars,” “Pop Can Casting (fishing know-how),” “Loom Weaving,” and “Care Blankets.”

This garden planted between Luther Burbank's birthplace and the Edison farmhouse is lovingly tended by volunteers, who even provide a map identifying the plants growing in it.
The Class of 2020 has experienced a senior year like no other. With overwhelming participation, the Class of 2020 came out to celebrate the "Virtual Graduation" with their fellow seniors and put a cap on this school year, literally! Virtual Architecture 101 is an interactive, self guided educational project that teaches visitors about architectural fundamentals, design processes, strategies and best practices for creating effective virtual world projects. The installation also includes several case studies of education-related projects, and offers specific tips, tricks and techniques drawn from over 5 years of experience designing virtual environments. It is not intended to be an all-inclusive resource, but to simply provide a sample overview of design basics.

Virtual Enterprises International and WISE held the summit in New York from April 4-7, 2011 and was sponsored by New York Life Foundation, Deloitte, HSBC and McGraw-Hill Education. Students competition included the National Business Plan Competition (NBPC) and Global Business Challenge (GBC). The NBPC challenged Virtual Enterprise students from across the country to demonstrate their global business expertise through written business plans and oral presentations. It showcased the best practices, rewarded excellence and allowed high school students to apply sophisticated knowledge and skills attributed to business professionals and college students. 19 teams began the competition with the winner announced on the April 7th at the Trade Fair. The GBC competition tasked students to work in multinational teams to identify the challenges, opportunities and risks involved in a global business by examining a business case styd. After 2.5 hours of analysis and deliberation, teams presented their findings to a plane of judges.
This exercise in fabulousity is the latest project by myself and my building partner, Alia Whitfield - The Virtuality Building, where we both have offices, and also home to our individual businesses - my shapes business, A.D. Studios in the North Wing, and her photography studio in the West Wing.
The beauty of this building can only really be comprehended in person, so feel free to come and admire it, though it's currently unfurnished!
