These unique immersive design challenges are intensified when virtual experiences become public and socially-driven. As female VR designers in 2018, Michelle and Andrea see an opportunity to fold the language of consent into the design practice of virtual reality—as a means to design safe, accessible, virtual spaces.

How many times have you replied with boosting comments to your social media connections when they posted that they were not feeling good? It is on peoples’ nature to empathize other people and try to comfort them emotionally.
As social media continue to grow in popularity and also with the advent of smart devices that provide us a great variety of features to express our feelings, like the emoticons, we are able to practice our virtual empathy in many different ways! But have these online reactions the same effect with a real world hug or an encouraging face to face comment?
